Putting aside the thoughts he bombarded himself with, he looked at the positive, if this happens which he knows has a 50% chance of happening, he has a few ways to deal with it.

Ash "Is that a Z-ring?"

Of course, Ash was the one to ask the most obvious question.

Kiawe "No, it's a Z-Power ring".

He said as he looked at the Z-ring with curiosity, being a residence of the island and a hardcore follower of the island traditions, Kiawe is very passionate about everything related to z-moves and z-crystals, he is very proud of his heritage and things that come from the island.

Samson "Hahaha, you are right, this is indeed a Z-Power ring".

Even Julian was surprised by this as he didn't know what the difference was between Z-ring and Z-Power ring.

Samson "You see, other than the normal z-crystals that you can get from island trials, there are also special z-crystals whose power can only access by special pokemons and the Z-Power ring is the only thing that can hold such crystals, normal Z-ring can't hold those special Z-crystals".

Samson explained.

Hearing his explanation was a surprise to everyone, Julian looked at the ring in his hand and wondered what kind of special z-crystals are there that he can get his hands on.

Sophocles "I wonder how it is made?"

He asked while looking at the ring in Julian's hand.

Kiawe "It is made of a special stone called the sparkling stone, the color of the ring depends from where the stone came from, from the looks of it, teacher Julian's stone comes from the volcanos of Akala island"

Kiawe shared his knowledge about it.

Samson "Hahaha, you are right again, it looks like you are very knowledgeable about this stuff".

Principal Samson praised him to which Kiawe just looked away embarrassed, even though he likes being praised, he doesn't want to show it to others.

Kiawe "It's nothing like that, I want to be an island kahuna one day so I am preparing myself for it".

Kiawe said.

Now that Julian has received his Z-Power ring, the only thing left there is to test it.

Lana "Teacher Julian, why don't you perform a Z-move, we all want to see"

Lana said excitedly and all the students nodded their heads except Kiawe as he didn't think Julian will be able to do it, in his eyes no matter how strong a pokemon trainer is. If they have not gone through the trials and tribulation and have been acknowledged by the kahuna of an island, they cannot perform a Z-move.

He has seen Ash perform a Z-move once but his Z-crystal shattered into pieces when he was done using it, he expected the same to happen with Julian's Z-crystal.

Julian "Sure why not, let's go outside and test it out".

Julian said and walked out while his students followed him, once they were out in the open, Julian looked around and decided to use it at the sky as there are structures and trees everywhere, he also doesn't want to use it on water because it can destroy the habitat down below because of the power that will generate.

He tapped his front pocket causing Crystal to pop its head out curiously wondering why Julian called for it, it floated out of Julian's pocket and circled around him happily waiting for his instruction.

Julian lifted his right hand and showed Crystal his Z-Power ring and the Normalium Z-crystal, Crystal got excited seeing it and approached it with sparkling eyes.

It touched the Normalium-Z and closed its eyes to feel the energy radiating from it.

Julian "You can feel it right?"

Julian asked to which Crystal nodded its head cutely.

Julian "Then let's do it, look up at the sky"

Julian said with a smile.

Crystal nodded and floated a little further away from the crowd and looked at the sky.

Julian brought his hand closer to his chest and clenched his fist and channeled the energy radiating from the Normalium-Z and passed it over to Crystal through the link that he established with it with the help of the Z-Power ring.

As soon as Crystal felt the z-energy running through its body, the air surrounding it distorted, and an immense pressure enveloped everywhere, even the students who were standing far away from Crystal felt the pressure but they weren't harmed by it as they are not the target.

The ground under Crystal caved-in in an instant, creating a massive crater below it, z-energy started to flare up around Crystal and become more chaotic in nature, it was as if there is a fine line waiting to be snapped and the explosion that will come after it.

Seeing that his theory is working, Julian smiled, he really didn't have to do that weird dance to perform a Z-move.

Julian "Let's go, Breakneck Blitz"

Julian commanded.

Crystal set its eyes up at a massive cloud and shot right at it, a powerful and destructive energy surrounded Crystal as it shot towards the cloud, Crystal looked like a comet that is shooting towards the sky and the whole island could see it.

Crystal reached its target within and few seconds and released all the energy at once. It created such a powerful explosion that its impact was felt all over the island, everyone present on the island felt it.

The cloud that Crystal targeted was nowhere to be found as it got dispersed into nothingness, the shockwave that followed after traveled across the whole island and even reached the ocean on the other side.

On the school ground, everyone was shocked by the power on display, they couldn't believe such a little thing could be so powerful, before they knew it, Crystal is already in front of Julian hopping around in the air happily, the rush of power it felt while using that move was really enjoyable to it.

While everyone was shocked by the power displayed by Crystal, Kiawe was shocked by how Julian used the Z-move, being the most experienced one of the group, he knows about it more than anyone else so he couldn't believe his eyes.

Kiawe "How did you do it?"

He rushed towards Julian and asked.

Kiawe "How did you perform the Z-move without the ritual".

He asked again.

Julian looked at Kiawe and smiled.

Julian "Well, my bond with Crystal is very strong, so strong that we don't need any ritual to find a connection and tap into it, to us, it's as natural as breathing".

Julian explained and for the first time in his life, Kiawe felt true admiration for someone.

He always wondered how strong Julian really is since everyone claims him to be very strong, but he needed to see with his own eyes and he saw it, but what he was impressed by more was the bond Julian had with Crystal.

He knows how Z-move works and how hard it is for a pokemon and a human to bond and to perform such a powerful move even without the ritual, which is something Kiawe has never heard of.
