Journey Towards Greatness

Wimpod's training continued and he was starting to get mentally exhausted so he tried to cheat Julian by pretending to get exhausted for a snack but he was not going to fool Julian.

Julian got a little strict and made Wimpod run around again, and every time Wimpod gave it his best, he would be rewarded with a snack.

Julian even told Crystal to join Wimpod and run around, even though this training will have no effect on Crystal because of his strength, it can still provide some mental support and spark a little rivalry in Wimpod to defeat Crystal after seeing how easily Crystal was doing everything.

And it worked, Wimpod was trying harder and harder to catch up to Crystal but to Crystal, this was just a game, it was rolling on the sand, jumping around, circling around Wimpod, and teasing him, it was an act of complete disrespect from Crystal and Wimpod started to get pissed and this pushed him even more.

Julian just watched as he knew this would happen, Crystal has the ability to annoy anyone and it works as a great motivator for his new pokemons. Of course, his older pokemons are used to Crystal's antics but the young and new pokemons like Wimpod have not experienced the horror that has yet to come.

As Julian was training Wimpod, someone else came into the playground, Julian noticed this and turned around to find Principal Samson walking toward him with a big smile on his face.

Samson "Hohoho, look at that Wimpod, it's really fast".

Samson commented as he saw Wimpod zoom around the playground trying to catch up on Crystal who is still fooling around.

Julian "Yes, he is a special one".

Samson "It's very small compared to a normal Wimpod but it is definitely faster, a very interesting specimen. Where did you find it?"

Samson commented and asked.

Julian "By the rocky cliff right next to the commercial beach, I got really lucky with this one".

Samson "I can tell, it's very rare to find unique pokemons, and that too within a shiny".

Julian "So, is there anything I can help you with?"

Julian asked.

Samson "No, I just wanted to see how you train your pokemons, one doesn't get to witness and training session of a trainer of your caliber every day".

Samson said with a smile.

Julian "You flatter men".

Julian said as they continued to watch Wimpod run around.

Samson "Can you tell me what is going on?"

Julian "Well, basic stamina and speed training, my Wimpod is fast but as you know, they really don't have good stamina, if he wants to be a strong and reliable pokemon on a battlefield, stamina is the most important criterion".

Samson just nods his head in agreement, even though he is not a pokemon trainer, he is still very knowledgeable when it comes to pokemons so he can easily understand what most people will struggle with but this is just basic so everybody should be able to understand it.

Wimpod got tired again so he crawled back to Julian and Julian gave him a snack to munch down on, Samson watched this curiously as he witnessed Wimpod regaining his energy and going back to running and trying to catch Crystal.

Samson "What was that?"

Julian "It's a special snake made with Leppa berries, it restores his stamina so he can continue to train".

Julian said.

Samson "I see"

Samson just watched as Julian continued to train Wimpod, and since this is just basic training, there was not much that would surprise Samson but he still stayed till the end.

After an hour, Julian called it a stop and let Wimpod rest, he was completely exhausted so Julian gave him a while leppa berry to munch on, as for Crystal, it was happy with a bottle of moomoo milk.

After Wimpod and Crystal were done eating, Julian sent Wimpod back to his Pokeball while Crystal went into his front pocket and snuggled itself into sleep.

Samson "Let's go eat something, dinner is on me".

Samson said as the sky was turning orange and night is about to fall.

Julian joined Samson as they went to a local restaurant to eat dinner, as they were eating the food that is unique to Alola, Samson thought of something.

Samson "Say, Julian, why don't you become a teacher and teach the students about pokemon".

Samson expressed his idea and Julian was surprised by hearing this.

Julian "Me? A teacher?"

Samson "Why not, you are very knowledgeable when it comes to pokemons, you would be of great help to the students".

He said.

Julian "I don't know..."

Julian was a little hesitant about it.

Samson "There is nothing to worry about, it's not like these students are demons and you will also have something else to do other than roaming around the islands doing nothing".

Julian knew that Samson was right, his schedule will be very open in the coming days and he will have nothing to do, maybe teaching a bunch of hyperactive kids can be a side quest on his journey.

After giving it some thought, he decided to give it a go and it's not like he will be a permanent teacher.

Julian "Sure why not, I can teach the students till my stay here in Alola".

Samson "Great, the students will be really excited to learn from you, it's a golden opportunity for them".
