Julian opened the file to check out what it was that made Kukui so excited to talk about, as he opened the file he read a very eye-catching title "The Blinding One".

Julian raised his brows and continued to read through, as he continued to read he found it very intriguing, this Blinding One that the people of ancient times called seems to be the sole reason behind the current Alola.

Julian closed the file and looked at Kukui who looked back at him.

Julian "So you are saying, everything that is special about Alola is because of this Blinding One?"

Kukui "Well I don't have any proof to back the claim but everything I found about the Blinding One is from ancient texts that I stumbled upon".

He answered.

Julian didn't say anything and started to ponder about it, from what he read this Blinding One is clearly a pokemon and not from this world, this alien pokemon came to this world and shared its light causing the changes. Well, it was not the whole world and only Alola but he couldn't blame the people of ancient times as they lived under a well thinking that Alola is the only region and considered it the whole world and it was a very common way of thinking in ancient times.

With this blinding one sharing its light with Alola, it changed the whole region causing it to go through massive changes making the islands a better place for living for both people and pokemon and its light also gave birth to this magical energy that can be found in Alola.

The same energy can be found in z-crystals and totem pokemons.

He also read about how this blinding one lost its light after sharing it with the world but it recovered its power after absorbing energy provided by the people and pokemon of Alola along with the two legendary pokemons of Alola, Solgaleo, and Lunala.

Julian doesn't know anything about these legendary pokemons, he did some research on myths here in Alola and he did come across the name Solgaleo and Lunala but he never knew why they were revered here.

After reading about the Blinding one, he was able to connect some missing dots but there is still a huge gap that needs to be filled.

Julian "So what happened to this Blinding one, where did it go?"

Julian asked.

Kukui "After recovering, it left as said in the legends".

Julian "What about Solgaleo and Lunala?"

Kukui "Unlike the Blinding One, they have made multiple appearances in Alola in the past and have been witnessed protecting Alola".

Julian put the file on the desk in front of him and took a deep sigh but there are still a lot of questions he needs answers to.

Julian "This answers some of my questions but there is still so much I don't know, I still don't know how that weird dance comes to play when performing a Z-move".

Julian said.

Kukui "Well, it is really hard to explain how it works but from my own experience, it depends on how much a trainer and their pokemons are compatible and trusts each other".

Kukui replied.

Julian thought about it for a second, it was the same as mega evolution, if a pokemon and its trainer do not understand and trust each other, the mega-evolutions will either not work or be botched.

It was as if the whole universe has been programmed in such a way that people and pokemon are forced to work together for a better outcome.

Julian "You have used Z-moves right?"

Kukui "Indeed, I even have a special Z-crystal".

He said and showed his unique Z-crystal, the Incinium-Z. Julian did read about these special Z-crystals and how they are completely different from a normal Z-crystal, these special z-crystals only work with a specific pokemon, for example, the Incinium-Z that Kukui has can only work with an Incineroar.

But that is not all, the Incineroar also needs to learn a very specific move called Darkest Lariat. These Z-crystals only work with a specific pokemon who knows a specific move, unlike a normal Z-crystal that can turn any move of its similar typing to a powerful Z-move.

Julian "So tell me, how does it feel when you perform these Z-moves?"

Julian asked.

Kukui placed his fingers on his chin and started to think of a way to explain it to Julian.

Kukui "Hmm... How do I put it? Ah, yes, when I use a Z-move with the intended ritual, I suddenly feel connected to my pokemon both body and soul, suddenly the Z-crystal on my wrist feels hot and the connection I feel with my pokemon gets stronger. It feels like a water pipe is attached to my wrist with its other end connected to my pokemon".

Kukui's explanation was clear and it made a lot of sense and Julian was able to relate to it, the process was very similar to his Infernape's ability Resonance, it allowed Julian to connect with Infernape and provide him with Omniforce, the obvious difference being that the connection is directly between their hearts instead of an item involved.

Julian 'If the process is similar to Resonance then maybe I don't have to do that weird dance'

Julian thought.

Julian 'But first, I need to see a Z-move being performed a few more times and then try it myself'

Julian thought and looked at Kukui.

Julian "Why don't you show me a few Z-moves"

Julian said.

Kukui "I can do that but why?"

Julian "I just want to see if I can use a Z-move without the weird dance moves".

Julian said.

Kukui "Are they really weird though?"

Kukui asked.

Julian "Definitely weird".

Kukui "Well, whatever, so do you have a Z-crystal?"

Julian "Yes, I recently got my hands on a Normalium-Z from the trial ground".

Julian said and took out the Normalium-Z and showed it to Kukui.

Kukui "Great but you still need a Z-ring, it's essential for using a Z-move".

Julian "Z-ring?"

Kukui "Yes, it is made up of a special material found here in Alola that helps people use a Z-move"

Julian "Where can I get one?"

Kukui "You should ask the Island Kahuna, he should be able to provide you with one".

Julian "Great, I will ask him then, but first your demonstration"

Julian said.

Kukui "Let's go outside then".

Kukui said and walked out of the house and Julian followed him into the beach.
