Journey Towards Greatness

It's nighttime here in Alola and Julian is on the balcony of his hotel room looking at the night sky and its reflection on the ocean, the moon's light is reflected on the still surface creating a cold but beautiful scenery for him to enjoy.

He is currently joined by his Crystal as it drank its moomoo-milk with great enthusiasm, Julian is also having a stake while enjoying the scenery when he suddenly felt something was watching him, not only him but Crystal who doesn't get bothered by much stopped drinking and looked at the direction from where it felt the gaze was coming from.

Julian looked at a large tree and he could tell something was hiding behind the leaves, he put his stake on the table and got up, and walked close to the ledge of the balcony to get a good view of the thing that is staring at them.

Though the pokemon was behind the tree leaves Julian could still see its eyes as they were glowing with different colors, Julian started to wonder what he should do right now, should he approach this pokemon and let it do it itself.

After thinking for a few seconds Julian decided to not take any action. If this pokemon wanted something it would come to them, he doesn't need to bother it in any way, he looked at Crystal and saw that it went back to drinking its moomoo milk, Crystal's attention span is very little so he was not surprised by Crystal completely losing interest in their stalker.

Julian didn't sit down but continued to look at the tree leaves as he is very interested in the pokemon hiding behind it, he could easily tell that this pokemon is a special one, it can be a mythical or a legendary pokemon.

Julian just wants to know why it is here and what it needs from him, as he continued watching the leaves the tree shook and a blurry figure shot out of the tree and directly headed towards his direction.

Julian is surprised by how fast this pokemon is, at one moment it was hundreds of meters away from him and the next moment it is right in front of him, Julian carefully observed this pokemon in front of him, it had two slender arms and a dome-shaped armor attached to them which are yellow in color, it also has a very sharp single claw at the end of its arms, these armors have an abstract pattern on them, its body is black in color with orange spiky hair shaped that of a rooster's, it doesn't seem to have any legs, instead its bottom half is also covered with orange hair.

From what Julian has learned about Alola, this is the guardian Pokemon of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko. Julian is pleasantly surprised that the guardian pokemon itself has come to visit him, from what he has read about Tapu Koko, despite it being called a guardian pokemon, it rarely helps the people and pokemon of this island and is known to be very fickle, it is also very curious and will approach people or pokemon it finds interesting and would engage them in a battle or give them unique presents.

Now Julian wondered what Tapu Koko wants from him, does it want to battle him, or is it here to give him something, if it wants to battle, Julian would, of course, not deny it but it would be a very easy win for Julian.

Though it is a strong pokemon, it is at most as strong as a third-rate legendary pokemon similar to the Kanto legendary birds.

Crystal who was sipping on its moomoo milk happily stopped drinking and looked at Tapu Koko, it got excited seeing a new face so it put down its milk bottle and floated towards Tapu Koko with no concern and a cute smile on its face.

Tapu Koko didn't like getting approached so it let out a warning cry but Crystal completely ignored it, seeing that its warning cry is not working, it sent out a warning lightning bolt at Crystal but Crystal just swatted the lightning bold away like a fly, it thought that Tapu Koko wants to play so it got excited and sent out its own lightning bolt at Tapu Koko.

Sensing the incoming disaster, Tapu Koko used its speed to move out of the lightning bolt's way and watched it disperse into the sky, Tapu Koko looked at the menacing little thing that isn't even half a meter tall and felt impending doom.

It looked at Julian again and decided to leave, its body blurred and bolted towards the trees and disappeared from their sight, seeing Tapu Koko go away, Crystal felt sad that its new friend didn't want to play with it.

Julian just laughed awkwardly seeing this, he knew that Crystal scared away the island guardian of Melemele island without intending it.

Julian "Crystal, come back"

Crystal went back to Julian and sat on his shoulder with its head down in sadness.

Julian "No need to be sad, you scared it away without intending to, next time when we meet again try not to scare it away, Ok?"

Julian said and rubbed Crystal's head with his finger and smiled, Crystal just nodded its head like an innocent baby and started to smile cheerfully again, it then went back to drinking its milk with no care if the world and completely forgetting about what just happened.

Julian smiled and looked back at the trees where Tapu Koko disappeared, something told him that this would not be their only interaction.
