I Will Be The Crowned King

Vol 2 Chapter 51: father's chat

"Storm group?"

In the luxuriously decorated bedroom, Sophia Franz in a lace silk pajamas sat beside the bed, her eyes flashing with incredible light: "Did he really say that?"

"It's absolutely true, this is the top-secret information that Angelica took a lot of effort to get - that little secretary is very strict!"

The little maid with her hands behind her back nodded vigorously, and at the same time she couldn't help but curl her lips: "It's a name given by a man at a glance, it can't be more tacky if it's tacky."

"I was buying lottery tickets, I heard it by the way, right?" Sophia snorted, the light from the corner of her eyes swept across the newspaper Angelica hid behind her: "Also, this is not what I asked."

"Yes, yes, that's not what the lady wants to ask~"

The little maid blinked innocently, flipped her hand and tucked the newspaper into the bow at the back of her waist, with a casual smile at the corners of her mouth: "Ah... what the young lady wants to know is the liar of the old gods who made her look ugly, how did she do it? What about the commander appointed by Lord Luther?"

"Angelica?!"

Facing the embarrassed Sophia, the little maid who immediately restrained her smile lifted the corner of her skirt and bowed her knees: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"But what are you going to do? Mr. Anson Bach has already become the leader of the Storm Troupe—well, it still feels tacky—and it seems that Mr. Luther will use him again." The little maid tilted her head in confusion. road:

"Unless he makes a mistake himself if he continues like this, I am afraid that Miss will have little chance of revenge on him."

"Of course I understand that!"

Sophia gritted her teeth and looked like she really wanted to rush out and shoot a liar to death immediately; but she still restrained this irrational impulse, and took a long deep breath to calm her fast-beating heart:

"Yes, I didn't expect him to be Ludwig's henchman. It was indeed a big mistake of mine - no! It's not like that, how can a guy who is as natural as lying and breathing have any loyalty?!" After a turn, Sophia, who suddenly realized, gritted her teeth and muttered:

"This is a scam, a trap. Ludwig and my father were all deceived! This old **** named Anson Bach, he and the black mage are a group... Yes, that's right."

"They plan to let Ansen Bach sneak into the church, and then turn this hard-won army into the bag of the old gods!"

Sophia, who was bright in front of her eyes, jumped off the bed excitedly and hugged the little maid's shoulders tightly: "How, do you think there is such a possibility?!"

"Well..." The immobile little maid smiled and pondered, her eyes began to dodge unconsciously: "How do you say..."

"It's probably...probably...maybe...there is a little bit of that...maybe?"

"Right?!"

Sophia excitedly hugged the maid in her arms: "As expected of Angelica, I knew you were definitely on my side!"

"In that case, how are you going to expose him?" the little maid asked while breaking free:

"Unless a guy with a deep mind like this has a chance, it must be difficult to seize, right?"

"Well...that's a question."

Sophia sat back on the bed melancholy. With the current situation, it is indeed impossible for her to do anything unfavorable to Anson on the bright side.

More importantly, as the eldest daughter of the Franz family, it is impossible and has no chance to meddle in all affairs related to the army, even if her father is the archbishop of the Clovis Kingdom.

In fact, she has already received a lot of "criticism" just for helping her father with some bills occasionally and receiving some businessmen and factory owners who need long-term loans - although she really doesn't care about that.

"Boom~boom~boom~"

Just when the girl was distressed because of her hated teeth, the clock in the corner of the bedroom rang suddenly.

"Miss, it's time." The little maid took the opportunity to quickly change the subject: "Hurry up and change your clothes, or you will be late for Mrs. Katerina's literary salon—her party has important clues about the Black Mage!"

"Alright alright."

The girl took a deep breath and moved from the bed to the dresser.

An hour later, Sophia Franz in a light blue pleated skirt left her bedroom and walked along the courtyard corridor in the center of the house to the door on the first floor.

When she stepped down the last flight of stairs, she found a figure in the fireplace hall that should never have appeared at this time.

"Father?"

As the archbishop of the kingdom, Luther Franz is wearing a simple pajamas, sitting on the sofa leisurely reading the newspaper in his hand, and there is a cup of hot coffee on the coffee table by his hand, which is like every middle-class home. Men are no different.

"Sit down, Sophia." The archbishop folded the newspaper in his hand and looked at his daughter with a smile:

"Today's salon party at Mrs. Katerina's house has been postponed until evening. Come and chat with me for a while."

Postponed for what?

Sophia frowned slightly and took a seat beside Luther Franz - although she was a little confused, she didn't have the slightest doubt about her father's words.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Sophia asked curiously.

"It's nothing, can't I chat with my dear daughter?" Archbishop Luther looked at his only daughter dotingly, with a hint of pride hidden in the corner of his smiling mouth:

"But you have done a lot of things recently that I deserve to be praised for - unlike your brother, who wants to be a general wholeheartedly, doesn't care about church and banking affairs at all, and even went to the southern battlefield to hide from me!"

Looking at her father who couldn't help complaining, Sophia, who was a little smug in her heart, just smiled lightly: "Ludwig just chose his own path, and thinks that it is more beneficial to the Franz family... not in the avoid you."

"Benefits, what benefits?" Archbishop Luther sighed: "The Franz family is not a pure-blood noble, our status depends on the degree of control we have over the Church of the Clovis Kingdom - but he just doesn't understand, never Understand, stubbornly think that as long as you win a few battles on the battlefield, you can win the respect of others!"

"He never understands that if he wants to be respected by others, he must either make them afraid of you or let them be inseparable from you." Looking at his well-behaved daughter, Luther Franz sighed helplessly:

"Sometimes I can't help but think, dear Sophia, if you were a boy, then I would never have to worry about the heir."

"You don't have to worry now."

Sophia continued to console her: "Although Ludwig chose to join the army, he will inherit your business one day and become the bishop of the Church of Order; if he is in trouble, Sophia will stand behind him to help him. All right."

"After all, we are all part of the Franz family, and it is appropriate to help each other."

"Well, you're right."

Luther Franz replied gently and softly, his eyes full of love for his daughter: "Because of this, I am going to hand over a very important account to you."

"Oh, whose account is it?" Sophia asked with a chuckle.

"A person whose name you must remember." Luther Franz said softly:

"Anson Bach."
