Chapter 13:Who are You?

Regina and Bianca had lunch together today. Ellen would eat lunch late because of her elective course.

Sitting alone, Bianca waited for Regina to choose her lunch and bring it to her. She took her time choosing the menu.

“Could you actually be Bianca?”

From behind her, a voice called out and when she turned around, a silver-haired upperclassman was there. The adult-like look on his face and the color of his tie made it clear that he was a senior. His tie was dark green, so he was in the same grade as Satias.

But his face was unrecognizable to her. And there, clinging to his left arm, was a reddish-blonde female student. The couples at this school were rather brazen, perhaps because many were engaged to each other.

Even so, these two were too glued to each other. The girl was a classmate of Bianca’s, given the dark red ribbon she was sporting.

The silver-haired male student was eyeing Bianca intently, causing her to feel uncomfortable. Besides, the female student was particularly grumpy. She didn’t want to associate with this duo. By instinct, she felt that way.

“Um, who are you?”

She felt irritated by the man who never said his name. Though she did not remember him, the other party did. This fact caused nothing but anxiety.

“Oh, I see, you have no recollection. Excuse me, I’m Stuart Herculle.”

Even though he introduced himself, she could not recognize him. However, since he called her Bianca, she figured they must have been familiar with one another. More importantly, she felt as though she had forgotten something significant.

He subsequently took a seat across from Bianca with no refusal. His impertinence made her a little displeased. That seat was reserved for Regina.

“What a surprise. It looks like the rumors are true. You look so stunning and different.”

From time to time, people would say that to her. Notwithstanding, Bianca would rather learn more about her relationship with him than hear such pleasantries.

Then she heard a cough from behind. When she turned around, Satias was standing there. Behind him was Regina, who, for some reason, looked flustered.

“Your Highness Stuart, what is your intention?”

Hearing that, Bianca almost stood up from her seat. Speaking of which, Herculle, as he had just called himself, belonged to a royal family with the name of this country in his surname.

“What do you mean by that? I was even worried about Bianca. Wouldn’t I at least call out to her?”

“Worried? You? Assuming she perished in an accident, I doubt you would have even searched for Bianca, right?”

Bianca shivered at the sound of her brother’s chilling voice. Isn’t that disrespectful to the royalty of this country?

“Oh my. That is your misunderstanding. Besides, the termination of our engagement was my father’s order. Being the third prince, I have no authority over it.”

Satias looked at the prince of this country with cold eyes.

“How strange. I have heard that His Highness himself has requested an end to his engagement to Bianca, saying this is a fortunate circumstance.”

Bianca felt on edge. She wondered if she should stop him. But how? She was on the verge of panic when she learned that her former fiancé was the third prince. She simply opened and closed her mouth repeatedly, as if she were running out of oxygen.

“That’s not true. It’s a misunderstanding. The way you put it is offensive. It’s like I’m the bad guy. I said I would wait for Bianca.”

Without waiting for the prince to finish, Satias fixed his gaze on the panicking Bianca.

“Bianca, His Highness is with Lady Flora, whom he has known for a long time. Let’s move to the other seat since we will be interrupting them.”

Bianca nodded, abandoning her thoughts, and followed her brother, who turned on his heel.

They moved to a seat much farther away from the royal family.

She had thought that her brother, Regina, and herself would be eating together, but soon her brother’s friends arrived, and she ended up eating alone with Regina, albeit at the same table.

“Thank you, Regina, for calling my brother.”

By this time, the two had become close friends, and they called each other without honorifics. Regina’s family was a count’s family, but they were wealthy and of high rank. They were likewise comfortable with each other as students.

“Yes, I was surprised. I was surprised to see His Highness with his girlfriend by you side. I can’t believe it,” Regina was indignant.

More than that, Bianca was astonished to learn that her former fiancé was the third prince of the country. She was afraid that he had a high status, but it felt like someone else’s problem.

Mother, you could have told me, couldn’t you?

Bianca learned that sometimes she couldn’t protect herself by being ignorant.

“But how did you know where Brother was sitting?”

Then Regina giggled.

“Because he is usually near you, Bianca. You must be getting along well with him.”

“Huh, does it look like that to you?”

 “Of course.”

Regina’s reply was a relief to hear. She had been feeling idle lately. While her brother was willing to be with Bianca, at times, it seemed as if he didn’t want to be with her very much.
