Not long ago, there were two dragon siblings. Ever since they were little, they were close to each other. One was older than the other and he was always regarded as the Supreme Dragon Heir of their Realm.

The younger dragon fully supported his brother. He was always very supportive even when he knew that his older brother was favored.

That all changed when he met the White Dragon Heir.

He fell in love.

The younger dragon was eager to be loved by the white dragon. For him, she was the kindest and most beautiful dragon he ever laid his eyes on.

But then she loved his brother instead.

For the first time in their lives, he felt jealous. It was the first time he felt envy towards something that he wanted but he couldn't have.

Although he swept his feelings aside, Bright, the white dragon, thought of other plans.

One night, she pretended that she had been attacked by the younger brother out of jealousy, killing their child in the process. Bright then told the older dragon about how much his brother had courted her before. Unfortunately, he believed her.

Outraged by his wife's confession, the older brother persecuted his sibling, showing no signs of remorse.

Clan denied all the allegations. He pleaded everyone to believe him but everyone favored the Empress over him.

Defeated, Clan had roamed the realm in loneliness, watching over everyone as he waited for the perfect time to reveal the woman's secrets. He knew she wasn't good. And he knew she was planning something.

When he was roaming, he saw two men in the skies. He got near the man, roaring at them in full force. They were on a rather smaller island inside the realm.

"Chill," a white-haired man said. He raised his hands and bowed. "We come in peace."

"Who are you?!" Clan roared.

"It doesn't matter who we are," the other man, a man with a dirty blonde hair said. "We're here on a quest."

"A-A quest?" Clan asked. His eyes widened after realizing that the two could understand him. "How?!"

The white-haired man raised a dragon shaped pendant. It was about the size of a palm and the eye of the dragon had a blue crystal in it.

"I use this item to speak to dragons," the man said. "Got it from a quest."

"What do you want from me?" Clan said, going direct to the point.

"Lean down," the white-haired man said and raised his palm. He had muttered words under his breath as if he was answering someone. "What are you doing?"

'Do you want more power?'

A deep male voice asked inside his head. He looked around but saw no one there.

"What is happening?" Clan asked.

"Just answer the question," the blonde man groaned. "This will help you."

"Help me–"

"Answer it," both the men said at the same time.

"Yes," Clan replied.

'You will now gain the ability to morph into a human. Do you agree?'

"Why would I agree?" Clan raised his brow.

"We have this thing called an Adventurer system where you level up and get stronger. You will gain that along with another system when you're in your dragon form," the white-haired man replied. "Just answer it."

"O-Okay, I agree," Clan said.

'Welcome, Clan. You shall now gain your human form.'

His body glowed, his scales glimmered under the thick atmosphere of the Dracon Realm.

"What is happening to me?" Clan gasped. "What is this?"

"You're welcome!" the blonde man chuckled as they leaped from the island they stood on.

Clan had tried to fly but his wings started retracting. He groaned as he felt his bones cracked and reform.

"What in the hell?!"

In a matter of seconds, he had become a human. Standing on two legs, and sitting up straight.

"I-I'm a human?" he asked, trying to walk on his own. "Why did I even agree to this?"

He saw a paper and quill by the center of the small island he was in. He crawled to it and was surprised that he could read the letters written on the paper.

[ Adventurer Contract ]

"Hello."

Clan flinched when he heard a high-pitched male voice behind him.

"Who are you?" Clan asked, narrowing his eyes.

"My name is Gary and I will collect the contract given to you," he replied, bowing. "But do not worry. I am not human. I am merely an astral projection."

"An astral what?" Clan scrunched his forehead. "I don't think I get it."

"It doesn't matter," Gary replied. "Once you give me back the contract, I will vanish."

"O-Okay," Clan agreed.

He started filling up the form and gave it to Gary. There was a burst of light that engulfed him after he signed everything.

"Congratulations, Clan," Gary bowed and offered his hand. "Please hand me the contract. You should expect to become a full-fledged Adventurer in about 3 days. I will appear often to bring you quest and rewards. I will be in this island at this day week before the sun rises."

The dragon man handed the paper and quill to Gary, who as he said, vanished after receiving the contract.

His next few days would be spent by learning human ways and leveling up. He just learned how to walk properly, to wield his weapon and how to dress.

In the Dracon Realm, his XP grew quickly. The beasts in their realm was enriched with XP that it only took him a bit over a year before reaching Legendary-tier.

Gary was also constantly coming back, handing him quests and rewards so he could get stronger. Everytime Gary would finish, he would vanish into thin air, not allowing Clan to know anything more.

After half a year, Clan had surpassed Breakthrough. With the items Gary sent him getting stronger and stronger, he too became strong.

He had gained a spell that allowed him to conceal his presence. With his small human size compared to the dragons, he spied inside the Draconian castle. A large castle located on top of the second largest island in the realm.

It was called Castle Draconus. A cone-shaped mountain with a hollow inside and has caverns as rooms.

It was late at night when he saw a glowing black light inside a cavern. He walked slowly towards it, making sure he wasn't being detected.

"Are you sure you can swap our souls?" He heard Bright said to a well. The well was suspicious enough that Clan knew there was something inside.

"I do know that," the voice inside the well replied. "We'll kill the Supreme Dragon Emperor first, then we will take the child and swap your souls."

"Liberator will believe me if I just use Clan as a scapegoat, right?" Bright asked.

"Of course," the female voice replied.

"Thank you, Queen of Hell."

Clan held his gasp as he exited the castle and hid in one of the islands nearby. He covered his chest, feeling the pain inside it welling.

He always have put others before him, sacrificing everything that he had wanted, but then he ended up with a betrayal.

When the white dragon gave birth to an egg, Clan snuck inside in his human formband stole the egg. He tried telling his brother everything, but no one believed him. They said he was crazy and that he was trying to steal his brother's power.

Only the Water and Flame Dragon Emperors believed him. They helped him escape with the egg, but somehow, he got separated from it.

Clan had hid for a very long time in Terra. After 7 years, he heard news that his brother had died, and that he was the one who killed them.

Enraged, Clan had ascended into Dracon and burst through the walls of Castle Draconus. There, he saw bright with a woman whom held the Dracon Eternal Gem.

"You give that back!" Clan roared, morphing into his dragon form.

"Okay," the woman grinned and raised her hands. Bright opened her mouth as a white symbol appeared above Clan. The other Dragon Emperors walked over with a similar symbols over their heads. "Goodbye, Clan."

A tear slipped past his eye as he saw the woman whom he loved for so long control him right before his very eyes.

"White Puppet Creation!" Bright casted and the strings had fired to Clan's limbs.

"Goodbye, my love."
