I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 75: The Supreme Dragon Emperor

"You're like a crazy metal detector, Gramps." Elliot placed his chin down to his hands that were on Francoise's counter.

Elliot was so impressed that the man could detect the presence of the metal even when it was still in his Inventory. Either his spatial magic did not place his things on a separate area or Francoise was just that impressive.

The old man's eyes were glimmering as he awed at the cubes of metal in front of him. Elliot was telling him what to do with it but he was completely distant, like he was in another planet.

Elliot was leaning on the counter, his butt was completely exposed when he felt a woman chuckle behind him. He instantly stood straight and turned, seeing a girl about his age.

"I would kill for that ass," the girl chuckled and went directly to Francoise. "A repair, please."

Elliot cleared his throat and stared at the metal. It was already awkward that a girl saw him wag his butt in the air like a dog. He couldn't look her in the eye.

"Oh," Francoise broke from his trance and smiled at the girl. "Welcome back, Florencia. The dagger and the saber, yeah?"

"Yes, please," Florencia responded, not leaving her eyes from Elliot. "I see you have another customer here."

"Yeah," Francoise said. "He's a regular, actually."

"Oh," Florencia made an 'o' with her mouth. "I see he's unaffected."

"Una– oh," Francoise tapped Elliot's shoulder who seemed to be deep in thought.

'Non-human detected.'

"S-She's a hybrid…" Elliot whispered that made Florencia shock for a bit but grinned and leaned in.

"You're interesting!" she beamed. "How did you know? You're even resistant to my Trance."

"Eh-lee-yot." Lance slung his arm around Elliot's neck. "Ooh, a lady friend. Hello."

"What terrifying presence," Florence whispered.

Lance leaned in and his expression changed to something dark and scary, "Why were you using Trance?"

"I-I…" Florencia stuttered as tears started to fill her eyes to the brim. "I was only playing."

"Go play somewhere else, kid," Lance said with the same expression. "Unless you want me to mince you to pieces."

"Hey, hey," Francoise smacked Lance behind his head. "Don't scare her like that. She's only 17."

Lance laughed lightly and looked at Florencia again, "You're cool, kid. Just don't go around Trancing people. You might find yourself in a very dangerous place."

"Okay," Florencia snuffled and ran outside.

"Bully," Elliot scoffed and shrugged Lance's arm off. "What's up with the sudden appearance anyway?"

"Oh, you know, I was," Lance chuckled and dropped his arms to his sides. "After what Biankka did, I couldn't let any one of you guys go out alone."

"Aww, that's sweet," Elliot smiled and deadpanned. "I can handle myself though. You think I'm a puppy or something."

Lance chuckled and ruffled Elliot's hair. "You are a puppy. Aggressive but small. Anyway, since you can handle yourself, I'll go look for Connor. He said he'll be at the market."

"And Lance?"

"Getting to know his people," Lance smiled sadly.

Elliot expected that but he still couldn't help but feel sad. "He's really gonna leave is he?"

"Maybe," Lance shrugged. "Maybe not. Anyway, come back before dusk. He'll announce his decision later. Make sure to be there."

"Yes sir."

After Lance left, Elliot pursed his lips and found himself alone. He tilted his head and walked to the workshop where Francoise had already started.

"Yes," he whispered. "Gallantrium is so smooth and soft. Like silk. Beautiful. Yes. Yes."

"You look so creepy," Elliot said that made the man jump in surprise.

"Oh, it's you," Francoise smiled and returned his attention on the metal. "Yeah, it's just my mantra."

"I don't even wanna what you said when you forged my sword," Elliot visibly cringed.

"Hey, I actually need your help with this one," Francoise called.

He instructed Elliot to grab a pair of tongs so he could hold the other side of the chest plate. Elliot helped him forge the equipment until he didn't realize it was almost sundown.

"Oh, Lord of the Fireflies. I need to get back," Elliot said. They just finished forging all the items but Francoise said he still needed to beautify the items. They were still not as shiny and the details were still missing.

When Elliot came back to the guild, the crowd had gathered all over the place. The Etheorians were mingling with the guild members and vice versa. It looked like a feast had taken place inside the guild.

"What a crowd," Elliot chuckled.

"Elliot!" Connor waved his arms in the air, calling for Elliot's name from their table.

"Hey, wow," Elliot looked around and awed at how joyous the guild house looked. The old wooden building was even temporarily reinforced by magic as to stop it from collapsing.

There was a look of uneasiness in Ed's face. He looked as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Hey you," Elliot sat next to Ed. "I know you're confused but please know that whatever you pick, we will be right behind you always. Always."

"Thank you." For the first time in days, Ed smiled fully. There were tears in his eyes but he looke happy, unlike how he looked earlier. "You know, when I was being corrupted by the sword, there were four voices that held me from being drifted away."

"It felt as though I was going to float in a vast sea, floating into oblivion but the memories of the four people kept me ashore. The four voices that held me tight, keeping me from falling into the pits of corruption," Ed chuckled, not being able to stop his tears. "I just– thank you."

Elliot engulfed his friend in his arms and followed by their other friends.

"You got so cheesy," Elliot cried. "But it's not like we're not going to see each other again or something."

"What?" Ed asked. "Guys–"

"Yeah," Connor cut him off. "We're always here at the guild whenever you feel like coming back."

"No," Ed tried to push them away but failed.

"We will miss you, Mr. Ed," Hope added.

The group stayed like that for a couple of seconds until Frederick stood in front of the lobby and cleared his throat. He raised his hand, making the lamps all over the guild dim down.

"Why did he dim them down?" Elliot asked Lance who chuckled.

"For special effects," Lance answered and grinned. "You know. He's a bit of a show off."

"Makes perfect sense," Elliot chuckled.

"Everyone," Frederick caught everyone's attention. A glowing white orb lit up above him, lighting him with a gentle beam of light. "I assumed you already know why we have guests this evening. It is because one of our own guild mate had discovered that he is their ruler, their Duke."

"In these past few days, we have encountered two Alpha Strikes to which we have won both. You already know that the woman who led the army wanted someone from us to control over their realm and then take over everything. I want you to know that we had prevented that from happening. You helped save Etheoria and save our world. And with these events, Etheoria chose to partner with us. Them and their new Duke."

Elliot and his friends sighed as they looked at Ed. "See you later–"

"Nataniel Etheoria!"

They gasped and looked at Frederick, then at Nataniel, then at Ed consecutively.

"What?!"

Lance laughed at them, "You little beasts. If you'd let Ed finish, you would have known that he gave the title to his younger brother."

"Yeah," Ed scratched his nape. "I don't think I really fit in with them. They are good people, but it's not right. It's just– it doesn't feel right."

His friends all cheered and did their victory dance. Hope was still having a hard time copying the three but he could still keep up somehow.

"No one's going to leave us, okay?" Elliot playfully narrowed his eyes. "We're all going to be together until we die and still would be best friends."

"Yeah!"

As the group laughed and cheered, and the Etheorians praised their new ruler, a big fight had been ongoing from the skies.

In a group of large floating islands far from the clouds, roars had shook its entirety.

A yellow dragon roared, firing a yellow beam into a larger dark gray dragon. The dragon covered its body with its wings, a half of a dome appeared in front of it that protected it from the black dragon's beam.

Another dragon with a dark green complexion roared, vines traveling up the gray dragon's legs up to its neck. With a beam of black firing at him from a flying black dragon, the gray dragon roared, shaking all the others.

The three dragons took deep breaths and fired their beams at the opposing dragon who leaped up. It roared once more before spinning and shooting up the skies.

The black dragon roared and landed, slowly walking towards a white dragon that was lying lifeless on the ground. It pushed its muzzle on to the white dragon's stomach, but had no response. It looked at its friends and roared.

Not long after, a brown dragon came with a light gray dragon on its trail. The light gray dragon morphed into a human and ran to the others, leaning in to feel the white dragon's heartbeat.

"I can't believe I'm here. B-But she needs help!" Kian stood and panted. "Damn. Where are the others? We need one more to save her."

The dragons growled and mewled.

"They're away? We don't have much– I know someone. Take care of her and I will be back."

Kian morphed into his dragon form and looked at the white dragon on the ground. He growled and leaped from the floating island and shot down, flying as fast as he could with only one scary thought in his mind.

I can't believe the Supreme Emperor Dragon became a Cannibal.
