An ear deafening scream echoed the forest. A woman ran from the woods, crying in fear as she held a baby on her arms. It was night and she had nowhere else to run.

"Help me!" she yelled. "Please, help me. Anyone? I need your help!"

The darkness hindered her vision, making her trip on a root, making her stumble. She cradled the baby on her arm before she threw her body facing her back on the ground, making sure the baby is safe.

The woman could only cough out in pain as she felt the metal footsteps approach her. She could not do anything but stare at the armor of rusted green knight getting closer and closer, the streaks of moonlight illuminating it as if it was her death approaching her.

"Oh, no," the woman screamed when the Knight raised it sword and swung it.

Clank!

The sword was blocked by a ripple in the air. A formation like waves in the water every time a drop would fall in a calm lake. Ripple appeared right in front of the knight, her dagger crossed with her sword as she pushed the rusted green blade of the beast.

Fwoosh. Fwoosh. Clank! Clank!

Three frozen arrows were fired from point blank. When it reached the knight, the arrowd exploded into large ice formations that blocked the Knight's movements.

"From Grass," Ripple said just in time for Elliot and the others to arrive. "The Grass Castle is three times the distance of Sun Castle from here. How this Knight came to here would only mean that it brought death upon its wake."

Elliot helped the woman up, making sure the baby is fine. Iris then approached them to heal the woman of her wounds.

"They're moving. They're really moving," Elliot sighed. "And not just the Phantoms or Guards, but the Knights themselves."

"A Knight could annihilate an entire village," Frost said as she landed from the tree she was hiding on. "If we don't take action as soon as possible, all small villages will perish."

"We have three months until the Candidates for the Absolutehood would wage war amongst themselves, then we have this," Elliot growled. "I just want to take a rest."

Ripple scoffed, making Elliot look at her in confusion. She showed him her right arm that was covered with a sleeve of the dark gray fur, the same material as her boots and cape. "Look at this."

Underneath the sleeve was a tally. It was written in her own flesh like she was counting on something. Ripple then looked at the woman and asked her, "Lady, what happened to your village and how many among you are left?"

"My husband…" the woman cried. "He and the other men tried to take on one of those beasts but they wer overpowered. I don't think anyone else made it besides me."

Frost sighed and watched as her sister pull her dagger and slash on her arm. Elliot gasped after seeing Ripple bleed, ordering Iris to heal her but Ripple stoped the healer before she could even approach.

"I pledged to myself that I would not stop marking my body every time I let a village down," Ripple said. "I know it's not my fault, but I'm still part of those to be blamed. I'm so reckless."

"Wait, there are others?" Lance asked the woman. "There are more Knights besides this one?"

The woman nodded, "Three more of them. Each Knight carried a different weapon as they massacred our village. We split up to try and confuse them, but their movements were too fast for us."

"Don't worry. You're safe now," Frost smiled and touched the woman's head. She fell silent as she narrowed her eyes. The woman suddenly grinned, making her leap back a couple of meters. "She's cold! Everyone, get back!"

"Oh, I've been caught," the woman's voice turned male-like and deep. It was scruffy and felt like an echo would follow it as if it was demonic. "I actually thought I'd get to see all the Eternals' grave here, but I'm wrong."

The person threw the baby above them, raising their head and extended their tonge, reforming it to shape like a sword as the baby fell down.

"Hasty Aspire!" A quick movement from Elliot barely managed to take the baby from the direction of the tongue. He rolled on the ground after he landed, slamming his feet down as a break from his roll. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, that's not a baby," the supposed woman said. "Take a look."

Elliot glanced at the blanket and saw a big black ball. The ball exploded into a thousand spiders, flooding from his arms into all around his body.

"Ring of Fire!" Connor fired his wheel of flames right where Elliot stood. This made the spiders disperse, killing most of them while leaving Elliot unharmed. "Are you okay?"

"Time to introduce myself," the person raised their arm into the skies as if they were reaching for something. Their body faded, spinning as it revealed their true form.

A man with a long slender body that barely had any flesh on it with a head that was healthy. His complete contrast of the proportion of his body made him look grotesque. He looked like he was about to fall of judging by how sickly his body looked.

His entire skin was pale and his hair was white, some even falling off. He smirked and sighed. "Not this form."

He curled down, his body slightly shortened from the towering seven foot tall frame he had earlier. He was now six foot tall and had a healthy looking skin and body. His black hair was slicked back while he wore a bright pearly white grin.

"Of course, it's you," Irus arrived at the scene together with the other demons. "What is it that you want now?"

The man grinned, "Nothing. It's just I got lost too. Now I'm looking for the Princes and didn't imagine I'd bump into you."

"Death," Leviathan said with a stern voice. "Why are you really here?"

"Your father says hi," Death said with a smile. "The rift in space and time is almost fixed.. Good luck."
