I Hate Systems

816 Get Up, And Fight!

A humanoid monkey, standing five hundred metres tall, wielding a wooden stick that could casually change its length. It was the Monkey King from the legends.

Currently, the moment Immortal transformed into the Monkey King, it allowed everyone to realise that he was able to wield the powers of every single mythical character.

'I've scoured through as many universes as possible. Then, how come I never discovered traces of even a single world manifesting this myth?' Zaira frowned in alarm.

"That's because those worlds are no longer mine anymore," Immortal spoke casually, alarming Zaira at the fact that he was able to casually read her mind.

But, Immortal's following words caused her to tremble in alarm, "But, it seems you've paid them a temporary visit, Zaira. Thanks to that, these worlds that have been dormant after my strength was no longer at the peak are now waking up one after another."

"M-Mystique is in charge of those worlds?" Zaira was alarmed, 'I just upgraded his strength estimate in my database. But if Mystique also has myths in his worlds, then his true strength is unfathomable.'

This was jarringly eerie since Immortal was now on par with Zaira just because he reached the point where he was in control of such worlds. It meant that Mystique would be at the same level as the current Immortal or even stronger.

If he chooses to target the System World...

Boom!

Without a change in beat, Zaira activated four Grade 3 Core Skills and assaulted Immortal who in turn casually spun his wooden stick and deflected them all. The runes on the wooden stick flashed in response to absorb part of the power fuelling the attacks before which, they were returned to Zaira, harming her.

"Tch!" Zaira growled in anger before unleashing the power of Transmigration, sending Immortal into a different universe.

But an instant later, she was alarmed to see Immortal transforming into a honey bee to casually perch on her head. The entity she had transmigrated just now was a mere hair strand of Immortal that had taken his place.

The honey bee then transformed into a frog that croaked, "Come on, brat. Put more spine in your attacks. Otherwise, I'll fall asleep."

"Oh, then fall asleep." Zaira suddenly sported a respectful expression, even going to the extent of creating a pond over which a large lotus leaf formed a bed for the frog to sleep upon, "You can take a comfortable nap on this luxurious bed that I handmade just for your excellency."

In response to her actions, the frog just stared in silence for a second before leaping away to land on the leaf, noticing that there were no traps there. It was just a bed created while keeping in mind to deliver the utmost comfort for the user to sleep upon.

"Unfortunately, I can't rest." The frog's stomach bulged once before it reverted to the Monkey King form. "I have enemies to get rid of before my end."

Immortal grabbed a lock of hair from his head and blew it softly, watching each strand of hair transform into a Monkey King, with each possessing a thousandth of his strength.

Upon seeing his actions, Zaira grunted, activating countless abilities.

Grade 2 Core Skill--Vampire (Level 198)!

Grade 2 Core Skill--Angel (Level 199)!

Grade 2 Core Skill--Hunter (Level 188)!

Grade 2 Core Skill--Devil (Level 186)!

She activated over a hundred Grade 2 Core Skills simultaneously, combining their powers to create a brand-new race that was a fusion of all the powers, forming an army of her own, each of which had terrifying strength.

Roar!

The two sides clashed immediately and were evenly matched.

Zaira stopped unleashing ranged attacks upon seeing Immortal either deflect or absorb some of their power to strengthen himself. Instead, she reinforced her body with them all, turning herself into an indestructible entity.

Boom!

Her figure flashed before Immortal to send a straight right into his face. In response, Immortal spun his staff to parry her attack before slapping her nose with the same, continuing to spin the staff as he attacked her in close combat.

Both had the means to counter ranged abilities due to their vast arsenal of abilities. Hence, they stuck to the most primal way of reinforcement through which the victor could be determined.

Pummelling the face of the other party using their fists!

Every single punch created shockwaves that destroyed the apocalyptic setting, causing the Apocalypse System to cry aloud in helplessness, unable to heal it fast enough.

Suddenly, strength poured into the Apocalypse System, causing its injuries to heal in an instant before it felt even stronger than before.

The case was the same for all the other Grade 3 Systems too.

Regression sighed in relief, watching its limbs grow back as its power recovered to full capacity. In the next moment, Zaira's voice resounded in their minds, "Quick! Capture Stencil and Gehera. I have zero confidence in killing Immortal otherwise."

"And before he vanishes, he would deal critical damage to us!"

"You heard her!" The Regression System announced before teleporting to the truck to target Stencil and Gehera. All the other Grade 3 Systems too did the same, ignoring Slayer and Arnark who did their best to obscure themselves as much as possible, unwilling to get into the centre of the conflict.

Boom!

Followed by a leap, Immortal kicked Zaira in the chest, sending her flying away before he frowned in confusion, 'Why was I fighting in the first place?'

He then observed the actions of the Systems, seeing right through the truck to stare at the figures of Stencil and Gehera, for a moment glancing at Hazen to understand the gist of things.

His mouth opened as a helpless voice that contrastingly oozed authority, "Compass, get up and fight!"

"I'll provide you infinite energy."

Immediately, in the part of the mountainside where a crater had formed, a tiny energy sphere appeared that seeped into the Mental Fragment sphere there, instantly causing a suffocating aura to waft out that exploded overbearingly, for a moment stunning the Systems.

All the Mental Fragments rushed into the sphere that took the form of Compass Carburettor who stared at his hands in shock, sensing limitless Mental Strength and Mental Energy surging within him. Following that, he blinked in surprise once before staring at the figure of the Regression System whose hand had grabbed hold of the truck.

Instantly, a million Invoked Spirits drowned the Regression System.
