Human King

Chapter 65: Count (5)

"Kuhahaha!"

Dawn's laugh reverberated inside all of the goblins' ears. Whether it may be far or near, it was heard by all.

But, even if it was heard, it doesn't matter.

Dawn's life was about to end, and he wasn't even evading.

The swords were about to cut Dawn's various parts of his body when it happened.

Shooong.

Dawn's Aura could be seen emanating from his body, and he used his hands covered in Aura to defend against the strike coming from above.

Pak.

His Aura wasn't covering his whole body, but instead, only on specific parts where the swords were supposed to pierce through, which greatly increased the Aura's defensive capability.

He learned this trick during his fight against Womo.

And Dawn, who was able to block all of them, had a devilish grin on his hideous face.

"Did you really think this was enough to kill me?! Not enough!"

He pulled First's sword towards him while walking towards him.

His hands were holding the blade firmly, and his head was lowered slightly to aim his forehead at First's head.

Bam!

Their heads collided within a second, and blood could be seen running from First's dazed face.

It was only natural for him to be confused as this was his first time fighting an abnormal like Dawn.

Imagine being able to direct your Aura in pinpointed areas...if Dawn wasn't a monster, then what else could he be?

"F-fucking monster!!!"

However, Dawn wasn't just fighting a single goblin.

The one who stayed behind as insurance disappeared from his spot and appeared right behind Dawn with his sword.

His sword was the fastest among the 8, but it was all useless against Dawn's instincts.

Clang!

Dawn moved First's sword to intercept the goblin's sword, looking to strike at his belly.

He then threw both goblins to the ground and took a step back as he felt a pressure that didn't exist before in front.

It was the village chief who was condensing his Aura.

"You're indeed a monster! However, it's all over now!!"

He shouted as he ran while hiding his hand behind his back.

"You little bastards, enough playing around! Use your Real Aura to defeat him!"

It was then.

The dejected goblins who were standing still from having their attacks blocked by Dawn suddenly widened their eyes.

Then, all of them ran off in a certain direction.

It was towards the fallen First, who was injured from Dawn's headbutt.

Meanwhile, the village chief was having a bit of fun with Dawn.

"Hmm. You're definitely a monster, but not a monster that we can't kill."

Of course, he still hasn't revealed the hand behind his back.

Even without seeing it, Dawn could feel the immense strength this village chief was carrying.

In fact, Dawn could feel that one hit from it would be enough for him to die.

"What's this? Is the high and mighty feeling all anxious and nervous now that I've finished charging my card?"

"Bullshit. I'm actually having fun in thinking how to use that against you."

"Hahahaha! You're exactly what I thought you would be!"

Ever since the village chief heard the news that the other Big Villages were conquered on a single night thanks to his patrolling goblins, he was shaken to the core.

And when he saw the goblins marching on him as if it were a national holiday made his blood boil.

After all...

"You're exactly like me!!"

...Beasts of the same kind were about to meet in a deadly match.

The village chief ran forward with his hand...with his palm out.

The golden light shining on his hand was so intense that it made Dawn look like a bug.

"Kuhahahaha! What a crazy bastard! So that's what you were doing!" Dawn laughed as he ran to the side, where trees were abundant.

Even though he was laughing now, he knew he wouldn't once that hits.

And because Dawn was able to see it, his instincts moved.

His Aura that was only used for various small tasks, was now being used to circulate around his hand.

However...

---It isn't easy...

Dawn could see his light going on and off as some sort of sparks as he tried it.

"What do you think you are doing!?" The Village Chief appeared right behind Dawn, ready to strike his palm!

"Fuck..."

A curse naturally came out from Dawn's mouth. He couldn't defend, and he couldn't avoid it.

Even though Dawn was clearly stronger than this village chief, they were still of the same rank.

Just because Dawn was some special existence called King doesn't mean he can beat an elephant with one hit while also being an elephant.

It was then.

"We're ready, chief!!" The 8 goblins were also showing some kind of a force that was as deadly as the village chief's Aura.

However, while the Village Chief has his palm as the Aura, the other goblins were showing off a big sword.

It was huge, and its light was literally shining in the dark and starless night.

And First, who was injured by Dawn earlier, was at the front of the group, and he assumed a wielding pose.

"Bastard!! You'll pay for what you did earlier!" He shouted as he swung the big sword down.

Two great forces were chasing Dawn.

The village chief's Great Force palm.

The 8 goblin's Great Force sword.

Just one hit by one of those two could kill Dawn.

Surely, Dawn must be panicking now. However, his devilish grin was still plastered on his face as if this were the funniest moment in his life.

---They aren't used to fighting strong opponents, huh.

Dawn thought as he changed from running to standing still.

He turned around and then planted his feet firmly on the ground.

His Aura couldn't be seen on his body. He closed his eyes as he turned on the engine called 'Instincts.'

He was like a speck of dust waiting to be brushed off in front of the two golden lights.

However, this only made the village chief more anxious. His instincts were warning him not to come closer.

However, that warning only served as oil thrown into the fire.

"So you finally decided to take this seriously!" The village chief cheered as he saw the sword coming from the side and his palm striking at the same time.

No matter what Dawn plans to do, Great Force isn't something Dawn could avoid or deflect.

'What does he plan to do?!' The village chief screamed in his head as he can't wait to find out.

Will he die, or will his opponent die? Would he get hit by a counterattack, or will his opponent be punished by his subordinate's sword strike?

Booom!

The golden light of the village chief and the sword collided with Dawn as the center!

Zhoonggg!

It made the sky ripple as if the world itself couldn't contain the force of the two immense Great Force.

The dust that formed after hitting the land was so great that it could be called fog.

The fog disturbed the goblin's view, and this made them tense.

Is he dead? Where is he? What was his trick? What made him confident in taking the attack?

All sorts of questions were present in the goblins' minds. However, the village chief had a different type of question.

'Why are his subordinates so calm?' The village chief thought as he noticed that the surroundings were filled with Dawn's goblins.

Although they looked like they were enraged by having their chief attacked from all sides, they didn't seem to have the mind to enter the battle.

No, it was as if they were watching how their king called Dawn will arise and solve the problems by himself.

And because of this, the village chief had an inkling. 'Is he still alive?!'

"First! Go swing that sword one more time!" The village chief screamed as he took a peek at his hand.

"Hmm? Yeah."

It seems First was already sure of his victory as he lazily swung the sword around.

The village chief had a worried look on his face. If his enemy was still alive after that, and he could fight, the village chief wouldn't be able to continue any longer.

After all, Great Force is something that uses up all of his Aura. The village chief is just one goblin.

He would run out if he uses too much, and he used it for too long while chasing Dawn.

It was already obvious what would happen to him once his finisher ended.

Swoosh!

It was then.

The Great Force of First, which was clearly smaller and weaker than before, slashed the air and pierced the fog down towards where Dawn's corpse was supposed to be.

Its force was great, and it pushed the fog away as if it was nothing. And when First finished his strike, a thunder-like explosion could be heard.

Boom!

First had a mocking smile on his face when he realized the sword hit something. However, that soon disappeared.

'H-huh? I can't pull it out?' He thought as he tried to pull the sword.

And when the fog disappeared completely, First's eyes widened to the brim. His throat moved involuntarily.

Gulp.

Pressure...is this still pressure? No...it was already a threat to his life even though his enemy is just standing there.

A big and rough hand was holding the Great Force sword while a goblin was cracking his neck.

The blackish eyes of the goblin were clearly seen even though it was night.

The goblin was full of wounds, and even his belly was bleeding, but that wasn't important right now.

Why? It's because the goblin...

"Good bastards! This is what you call a fight!! Kuhahaha!!"

...Had a terrifying Great Force circulating him like a dragon, ready to kill the 9 insolent goblins!
