Human King

Chapter 213: Confusing

"So, they really left this place, huh..." Dawn said as he looked at Didi who said that the presence has already left this place and that the goblins could no longer feel that presence who was trying to catch up with them.

Well, there was nothing Dawn could do now that someone else said that they couldn't feel the presence as well.

Dawn knew that the presence was no longer here, and looking for it now when someone else, not just Didi, but also the other goblins have vouched that the presence was no longer here would just make Dawn an ugly goblin who...didn't know how to take things seriously.

Of course, the goblins wouldn't look at him like that, but...Dawn would look at himself like that since he knew it himself that the presence was gone now.

Dawn was just frustrated that he stopped running, hoping for a fight to happen with Mabi or whoever the presence was only to find out that the presence that was trying to catch up with them suddenly went in another direction and left them in the dust.

All the efforts that he did to prepare himself for the battle that would come made him feel bitter about the presence suddenly going in another direction, and what's more, Dawn actually got excited in this situation when he was waiting for the presence to finally catch up to them.

That alone was enough to make him feel bitter about this whole situation, but since other monsters have already confirmed that the presence was gone now from this place, there was nothing Dawn could do in this situation now that the presence was really gone from this place.

"What's the situation with the other goblins?" Dawn said as he looked at Didi.

Dawn knew that the goblins tried to prepare themselves for the upcoming battle against the presence that was trying to catch up with them, but since the presence suddenly turned around in another direction, there was no need for that preparation.

However, Dawn knew that...the goblins have put in quite a lot of effort in this preparation of theirs as Dawn could feel that the goblins were scattered in quite the distance between each other.

Of course, Dawn also intended for those goblins to come back, which is why right after saying those words he spoke again while looking at Didi straight in the eyes, "Order them to come back and then report about their situation in this place right in front of me."

However, it seems that there was no need for any of that as Didi spoke as he made way for Dawn to see what was behind him, "Please do not worry king, the goblins are all fine and have returned to this place as soon as we felt that the presence was gone. There was no need for any preparations since the possible enemy has already run away from this place, after all."

Indeed, what Didi said was the truth. There was no need to prepare for an enemy that was not coming, and the goblins...each of them knew that very well, which is why they all went back here in this place when they felt that the presence that was trying to catch up with them suddenly turned around and went in another direction.

Of course, when Dawn saw those goblins standing on top of some random branches or on the ground, he...became a little bit embarrassed for himself and for what he displayed earlier.

Dawn, as the king, definitely had to show the goblins an example of what they should be and what they should do in a certain situation, and Dawn knew that what he showed earlier was not something that the goblins should follow.

However, even though Dawn showed that kind of behavior earlier, the goblins were actually able to regroup themselves and make good decisions for themselves in just a single instant without losing themselves definitely made Dawn look bad.

Of course, Dawn was the only one who was thinking about this, but it was definitely the truth that what Dawn did was not worthy of a king.

It was unbecoming of a king, but well. Dawn was a goblin, and a goblin is a monster.

A monster would always want to fight no matter where they are or no matter who their opponents are.

It was only natural for Dawn to lose himself in that situation since he was getting really excited about fighting Mabi and the other monsters again since Dawn wanted to fight against them too.

However, it was also the truth that what Dawn did was something embarrassing compared to what his goblins did, which was regrouping themselves and staying calm as a whole and did very well as they were even able to report back to their king without wasting any time.

Although no goblins see that what Dawn did was pretty embarrassing, it was clear as day that Dawn thinks that what he did was embarrassing when compared to what his goblins did.

It was only after a minute or so that Dawn was able to recover from this shock and pull himself up from the darkness of the embarrassing comparison that he and his subjects had when it was about decision making in certain situations like these situations where Dawn had to make very good decisions since he was the one leading the goblins.

And when Dawn was able to recover from this shock and pull himself up from the darkness of the embarrassing comparison, he decided to just play it off in front of his goblins as he spoke.

"What happened with you guys? Did someone have contact with another monster or something? Report to me whatever you found," Dawn said with a heavy voice as he looked at the goblins who were looking at him.

Dawn wanted to know every detail that he can possibly get in this situation as it was really important to know if the presence was truly Mabi or just some random monster that was trying to practice its speed or chasing some prey or whatever.

However, if Dawn were able to confirm that it was indeed Mabi and their enemies, things would actually be a lot easier for Dawn since he would know about the direction where Mabi and the others are and he would be able to start forming a plan right here and then.

What's more, if he could actually confirm that it was indeed Mabi, that was basically confirming that Mabi...was not together with the other monsters, his subordinates.

It was pretty obvious that Mabi's subordinates or the other monsters present in the center of the southeast of the forest were monsters that cannot keep up with Mabi's speed.

If he could just confirm that it was indeed Mabi that was trying to catch up to them, that would mean that he would also be able to confirm that Mabi was alone and would be an easy target to kill.

Of course, there was also the problem about Mabi being so fast that they have already been left in the dust, but...the important factor in this situation is that the goblins know where Mabi went and they would be able to chase him any moment that they decide to chase him since they do know where he went.

And the important factor that would help Dawn in deciding whether they should chase after the unknown presence or not depends on the report that the goblins would have for him.

However, it seems that Dawn didn't have anything to look forward to as the goblins didn't answer and Didi spoke as the representative for the goblins who were now looking down in disgrace since they couldn't be of use to their king.

Anyways, this is what Didi said, and he said these words as he bowed his head while facing Dawn's direction.

"King...I'm sad to say that there are no such monsters that the presence brought with him nor did our goblins have seen anything like that. What's more, the goblins also cannot confirm the identity of the presence since the presence was just moving so fast that the goblins were not able to see the presence's identity with just their naked eyes. It is basically asking for the impossible when you ask for them about reports such as these."

Indeed, what Didi said was the truth. There was just no way that the goblins would be able to catch a glance at the passing presence that was so fast that it was actually even able to surprise Dawn.

There was just no way that would happen, which is why Didi spoke those words.

"So, there is no monster...it basically means that the hyena that I fought and the other hyena was the presence and they left behind their forces at the center of the southeast of the forest, or...it was just a random monster passing through the forest, huh," Dawn said as he looked at the forest.

The forest was...it was becoming more and more confusing for him now that he was in this situation.
