Hidden Wife: Best Husband

Chapter 53: Cooking rice

From today until the next four days it was likely that Soo Yin won't be able to see Dae Hyun. Because she had to accompany Mr.  Peter toured several historical places in Korea.

The first day they will visit a traditional Korean house, namely Namsangol Hanok Village which is located around Mount Nam.  It was a house in the Joseon Dynasty.  Soo Yin and her entourage rested in one of the houses.

Mr. Peter also said that if he wanted to rent this house one night, then continue the journey again.

Soo Yin approached Mr.  Peter along with one of the female tour guides.  They were in the kitchen with aprons on their chest.  Soo Yin was shocked at the sight.  Still didn't understand what that man will do.

"What will she do?" Soo Yin whispered while approaching the tour guide named Mi Na.

"I don't know. He said he wanted to cook while in here," Mi Na whispered.

"I can't believe a westerner like him can cook Korean food."  Soo Yin giggled as she glanced at Peter Anderson who was cleaning the vegetables.

"Husssttt, lower your voice," Mi Na said. Afraid that Peter would be offended by their words.

"Hi, you two hurry up and help me. I want to know a young girl like you can cook or not," Peter Anderson said.

"Of course we can," Soo Yin said confidently.

"I'll be out for a moment. I want to buy soju." Mi Na immediately ran away because she never cooked.  Instead of embarrassing herself, it's better to stay away.

"Geez why did she leave?" Soo Yin grumbled.  Now her guts were shrinking because she left her alone.

Just about to help Peter Anderson clean the vegetables, Soo Yin's cell phone vibrated over and over again.  It turned out that there were so many messages that just came in.  They're all messages from Dae Hyun.

[Darling, I miss you]

[When are you coming back?]

[I can't work with focus when I'm away from you]

[Please cancel Mr. Peter's request so you could come back soon]

[Honey, that old man didn't do anything to you, right?]

Soo Yin smiled to herself reading all the messages from Dae Hyun. Never thought that a grown man like him could act like a teenager. Immediately reply with only one message.

[Honey, I love you] Soo Yin wrote on her cell phone and immediately pressing, the send button.

"You look so happy."  Mr. Peter's voice surprised Soo Yin and made her jump.

"Is that a message from Dae Hyun?"  Mr. Peter asked.

Soo Yin bite her lower lip, not answering Mr. Peter. Can't stop thinking because the question was right on target.

"How did Mr. know?" Soo Yin asked.  Already wet to cover it.  Luckily Mi Na left.

"I know you are in a hidden relationship. After all, I have more experience than you. I can see it when you look at each other." Peter smiled as she reminisced about the past when he was young.

The time when he was married but one day fell in love with a young girl who sold flowers. A simple girl with long wavy hair, skin as white as snow.  Thin pink lips. At that time he was so drunk with love that they entered into an illicit relationship. Never realizing that the more he loved that girl, made him destroy his life even more.

They had to separate in the end because Peter had to obey his parents if he didn't want to be crossed off the family list.

Peter stared away with a sad face. He wished he could meet her again. He wanted to make up for all the mistakes he made in his past.

"Are you okay?" Soo Yin shook Peter's body because it seemed like he didn't listen to her.  Reflection while letting the water continue to flow even though it's finished using it.

"No, I'm fine," Peter replied, who had awakened from the shadows of his past.

Soo Yin can breathe a sigh of relief.  He thought Peter Anderson was in a trance.

"Stand back before you regret it."  Peter patted Soo Yin's shoulder, who was frozen.  Don't want that girl to have the same fate as the person he loved.

Soo Yin didn't understand Peter's words. It was already too late if she wanted to back off now.

Derrrtt.

Derrrtt.

Soo Yin's cell phone vibrates so immediately asks Mr. Peter permission to answer it for a moment.

"Hello, dear."  Dae Hyun's voice echoed across the phone.

"Hi," Soo Yin replied.

"How was the trip? Is everything alright? The old man didn't mess around, right?" Dae Hyun asked in succession even though they had only been apart for a day.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Soo Yin said.

"Don't you miss me?" Dae Hyun asked.

"Hmmm, we just parted one day. We'll continue later because I'm working on something," Soo Yin said.

"Alright, bye."

Soo Yin immediately turned off the phone line.  So happy that Dae Hyun was so worried about her.

"Soo Yin, please help me wash the rice," Peter Anderson said.

"Okay."  Soo Yin took out the bowl filled with rice. Pouring it under running water, unconsciously put something in it.

Her mind wandered remembering Mr. Peter words. Made her very confused now.

"Soo Yin, why is the rice so bubbly like that?" Mr.  Peter who saw so many soap bubbles in the bowl asked.

Soo Yin widened her eyes.  It turned out that she put dish soap into it.

"Waaa, why is it like this?" Soo Yin shouted in disbelief at what she saw. Was she that stupid to put soap in to wash the rice?

"Don't think too much of my words. I'm just warning you, not scaring you."  Peter Anderson shook his head.  He knew that the girl was confused now.  Not intending to interfere with their relationship but just not wanting to see her suffer.  From the looks, the girl still looked very innocent.

"No, I'm just a little dizzy," Soo Yin said while pretending to hold her head.

"I'm going to tell Mi Na to buy medicine," Peter Anderson said.

"No need, let me buy it myself. I'll just tell Mi Na to help you."  Soo Yin immediately came out of the kitchen.  She shouldn't have helped him from the start.  This incident really embarrassed in front of Peter Anderson.

Peter Anderson just shook his head.  Really don't have the heart if an innocent girl like her will become a victim.  She should have met some nice guy out there.
