Game’s Dogma

Chapter 354: Reward (7)

Master Bak went on and on, but that smug look on his face wasn’t the prettiest sight. Drako Yau caressed the two new weapons before suddenly realising something.

“I don’t know how to use a short spear,” he said.

The short spear was similar to an arrow. His expertise was in regular spears, not short spears, let alone peculiar ones.

Master Bak grinned as he pointed at the spears’ ends and said, “The two aren’t separate weapons.”

The spears were identical apart from their colour, length, and sensation. Both housed a sculpture of a dragon’s tail at their ends. As if sensing the spears’ calling, Drako Yau connected the two weapons with one end against the other.

Click! The two spears combined into one weapon—a double-ended spear. Two-thirds of it was ruby red while the remaining portion was sapphire blue. Dragon tails entangled with one another, forming a perfect two-headed dragon. If he hadn’t been holding the spears separately moments ago, he would’ve been convinced that it was a single weapon from the start.

“Name it yourself. I’m not too good at this.”

Drako Yau was dreaming in wonderland right now. Warriors thirsted for weapons just as males longed for females in nature. The exquisite weapon was an absolute beauty—gorgeous and irresistible.

Name it? Drako Yau returned to reality upon hearing Master Bak. He suddenly realised something, then asked, “You said you used a meteor and some sort of wood, so why did it end up with such an appearance?”

The weapon seemed like it was refined from a massive piece of Cryoflame Jade rather than consisting of wood and a meteor. However, his Cryoflame Jade was merely palm-sized, so it wasn’t possible.

Master Bak furrowed his brows. “Mhm… How should I explain this to you… Think of it as chemistry. If you alter an atom in something, you can convert the item from one thing to another.

“Your jade is an extraordinary piece of jewellery as rare as my embryonic weapons. Nine Heavenly Flame chalcedony and Everfrost Glacial chalcedony are innately opposing materials, yet the jeweller combined the two to create a perfect piece of jade. Yes, he’s good, I’ll give him that.

“Just so you know, your weapon consists of four extremely rare materials. The profit I can get from selling the raw materials… Heh… Anyways, that’s why it’s perfectly compatible with your elements.”

Master Bak then laughed and said, “Huh? What’s with that suspecting look? This great master can see through your cultivation style at a single glance! Hiding it is useless!”

Drako Yau became all the more wary of Master Bak. Although Master Bak claimed to be a metalsmith, he was undoubtedly a powerful cultivator as well; Hagrid was the only comparable person Drako Yau could think of. Even the old geezer who went all-out was inferior to him.

It’s created using the Cryoflame Jade and compatible with my Cryoflame style… Drako Yau thought before making the final decision. “Cryoflame Spear it is.”

Just like that, the weapon that’d shake the world in the coming days was born, though Drako Yau couldn’t have known it yet. He bowed in gratitude and said, “Thank you, Master Bak.”

Drako Yau had formed his own concepts after spending a year in the game. Although the weapon was without a system rating, he knew it was on par with a legendary weapon, if not better. The system couldn’t detect his Cryoflame style either, nor did the system assign buffs based on its ability, yet its power was unassailable.

Master Bak rightfully received the bow, though unbeknownst to Drako Yau, he showed a reminiscing glance. He quickly said, “Alright, that’s enough emotional stuff. How troublesome. Just go! Tell Ichor Hon and that Nobunaga kid too, so they won’t bother me in a while. Gosh, they came and tortured me for three whole days…”

Suddenly chased away by Master Bak, Drako Yau scrambled out of the plaza into the tunnel. Master Bak watched the young man leave, his reminiscing eyes resurfacing as he murmured, “Disciple, is it… Bald lad, are you doing fine?”

Learning that Yeung Tin Hun cared so much for his disciple warmed Master Bak’s heart. His wish was to train a disciple, a good disciple who’d learn his techniques, just like every other master of their crafts.

After confirming that Drako Yau was gone, Master Bak finally let the drop of sweat glide down his forehead. The stronger a person was, the more difficult it was for them to exert themselves. Master Bak could kill Drako Yau without breaking a sweat, quite literally speaking. However, he secreted a precious drop of sweat to forge the spear.

Master Bak controlled the tiny hammer with telekinesis and hammered the two embryonic weapons hundreds of thousands of times; the four divine materials couldn’t have merged into one in any other way. However, Drako Yau didn’t realise it because the flame pillar obstructed his vision.

“The kid even has the God-Slaying Demon Extermination Armour… I shall expect great things from him in the future.” Master Bak’s mouth curled upwards.

The unbearable heat assaulted Drako Yau once he left the plaza. Having just forcefully used Boiling Form despite his severe injuries, he tried to leave using a Return-to-City Scroll, only to realise he could use nothing but the item bag. Messages and Return-to-City Scrolls were deactivated, just like the Abyss of Durin.

Master Bak created this space himself?!

Drako Yau scurried out of the tunnel and quickly tore apart a scroll. He wasted no time contacting Windstrider.

Windstrider might not be the strongest fighter of the bunch, but he was the most responsible person for sure. As such, Drako Yau delegated most duties to him, which he dealt with easily thanks to his day job experience as an office worker. He was also an important figure in Yoda.

This time, Windstrider didn’t fail to impress Drako Yau again. Without anyone’s order, he already filmed his battle against Hawk, putting the sniper on the kill-on-sight list of the Eastern server.
