Chapter 340: Dumbgirl’s Show Time

Allmighty and Peterpie were perplexing players. They were brothers in real life, albeit not twins. Born just two years apart, they had grown up together and shared a close bond that was greater than any other siblings.

Allmighty was a weaponmaster, while Peterpie was a berserker. As warriors, their might rivalled that of the twelve chamber masters when fighting as a pair. The only reason stopping them from leading a chamber was the limitation of one master per chamber. Rumours had it that Hawk was appealing to Zeus to appoint the two as master of the Gemini Chamber—a quite befitting role for them.

Dumbgirl put on a serious look on her cute yet somewhat silly face. However, the brothers weren’t in the mood to admire the loli’s cuteness; they saw the seemingly harmless girl destroy the Akechi army as she advanced.

If Godly Spearmaster was one of the best classes for group battles, then Dumbgirl’s inheritance was its equivalent among inheritances. Every palm strike, including basic attacks, carried the might of a dragon that turned it into an area-of-effect attack. How could it not excel in group battles with so much splash damage?

The brothers said nothing and spared no glances at one another. They sprung into action right away, with Peterpie leading at the forefront. Crimson glows emerged and faded as he activated skills from the Blood Ritual skill tree. Allmighty cast all sorts of Battle Aura skills, defending his brother as they charged.

Dumbgirl didn’t fret at all. Her companions had kept her sheltered for so long because of her cute and vulnerable appearance, but that didn’t mean she lacked combat experience.

Drako Yau was her trainer and sparring partner. He made minor adjustments to the old geezer’s crazy training regimen, such as removing the beehive training. Still, the training’s core component, sparring, was as harsh as possible. Dumbgirl had to turn up her pain perception to one hundred per cent so that she could feel the pain inflicted on her as if she was in the actual world. Much to his surprise, she turned out to be much tougher than she appeared.

Dumbgirl’s standards were high, considering that she had been training with Drako Yau the entire time. The first thought that came to mind when she saw Peterpie was: Why is he so slow? Less than ten players in the game could best Drako Yau in terms of movement speed. Clearly, Peterpie wasn’t one of them.

Peterpie was dazzled by Dumbgirl’s cuteness momentarily before he shook it off. Cuteness overload… No! This is a trap, a mental attack from the enemy! Peterpie steeled himself and thrust his spear.

Berserkers could wield two-handed greatswords or spears. The former had greater power, while the latter had greater reach and agility. Most preferred the sword with spear wielders being far and few. Peterpie was a renowned spearman on the Western server, but unfortunately for him, his enemy this time was Dumbgirl.

Many might object to the statement of Mask being the strongest fighter on the Eastern server, but no one disputed his status as the best spearman. Apart from practising Dragon Seeker, he also trained Dumbgirl to deal with his spear attacks with Dragon Subduing Art.

Peterpie’s thrust switched into a slash—Heavy Hack! Once struck, the enemy would have their defence reduced by thirty per cent, making it a core skill of the Berserker class.

Too slow! Dumbgirl frowned. Every time Drako Yau made his move with a spear (wooden sparring rods, to be exact), she would get the stick quite literally. The young man approaching her was sluggish; she could easily visualise the spear’s momentum and trajectory.

Dumbgirl shifted her legs into a wider stance. She lowered her body and lunged forwards. Ignoring Peterpie’s stunned look, she dove into his bosom—not for a warm embrace, but a dragon-imbued palm strike.

Bam! The palms strike blasted Peterpie backwards.

Peterpie had truly wretched luck. The fact that he wielded a spear spelt his doom from the beginning; bare-handed combat and countering spears were Dumbgirl’s strengths.

His contempt for the girl made him miss the best opportunity to strike with his spear. By the time he thought Dumbgirl was within range, his spear’s reach advantage was already gone. It was difficult to bring out a spear’s full potential when the enemy was in bare-handed combat range; Dumbgirl sending him flying was the only inevitable outcome.

Idyllic Poet was on her way to Danting and Windstrider when she saw two players intercepting Danting. She turned to support the lone girl, but a shadow suddenly appeared behind her. With a cold glare, she spun her staff—Ring of Rebounding Flames!

The low level skill was one of the vital survival skills of all mages. A breeze brushed past her face, bringing her fair cheeks down a notch into paleness. Several strands of her were severed and fluttered to the ground. A thin line of red emerged beneath her eye, staining her charming face with imperfection.

“Ohoho… Pyrowitch of the East? A well-deserved reputation.”

After attacking, the person’s Lurk wore off and revealed his skinny figure.

No one knew how Real World determined everyone’s classes even now; the only known fact was that the system was very reliable at picking a suitable class for the players.  A person’s disposition influenced their classes as well. For example, most assassins were deceptive and sly people in the actual world. Forthright assassins like Hades were almost non-existent.

Fiddlestick was a prime example. No matter how others tried to look at him differently, treachery and deceit were the only conclusions. He lifted his spear and disgustingly licked its tip, then said, “The blood of a beauty… How exhilarating!” before fading away with Lurk again.

Idyllic Poet was utterly enraged by the man’s obscene action. Flames of rage burned within her eyes.
