From Dusk till Dawn!

"Lili, are you sure that this will work?" Mo Yuhan gazed at the box in her hand.

She shook her head, ''It's just an assumption. Other than this, I don't have a clue about what can be done about that thing."

Mo Yuhan wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to himself, "Don't worry. We will take as it comes."

"I think…that thing is important to Huangfu Family."

He nodded, "It is."

"Yuhan, will you believe me if I say the rumored object which is known to hold the 'ultimate power' is a small jade bangle? Moreover, it is magical," She mumbled.

Mo Yuhan raised an eyebrow, "If you are the one saying so, I have got no reasons to doubt."

She opened her mouth and then closed it. "When you say such sweet nothings…then I…" She bit her bottom lips.

The corner of his lips tugged up as his grip around her waist tightened, "Then?" He whispered in his deep voice right beside her ear.

She bit his chin, "Then I find myself falling for you more and more.''

His blue orbs flickered, ''It's much better that way,'' He lowered his head, his gaze shifting to her pink lips.

''Cough…Cough…" Huangfu Lin awkwardly trying to get their attention. The couple has been romancing inside the ballroom so much so that she wondered if she was invisible. In the 21 years of her life, for the first time, she felt she was single.

The pink bubble around the couple disappeared as Mo Yuhan and Tang Li stopped a moment before their lips could touch.

They walked towards the center of the ballroom as Huangfu Lin greeted Mo Yuhan, "Brother-in-law…"

Mo Yuhan raised an eyebrow.

The girl cleared her throat before looking at Tang Li.

''Do you have something you want to tell me?" The woman smiled like a kind younger sister.

Huangfu Lin was speechless. Clearly, it was Sister Li who asked her to address her husband as brother-in-law instead of brother. But now she was acting clueless so that she would not come off as petty.

Although the rumors she heard described it all but she was still surprised when she saw how these big shots interacted with each other.

Of course, Mo Yuhan was no fool.

He understood the silent conversation between but it could be discussed later.

"Yuhan…"

"Mm?"

Tang Li cleared her throat, "Well, look at that…" She pointed her finger towards the jade bangle lying on the floor.

Mo Yuhan followed her gaze and glanced at the object that caused all the powers to lose their minds in greed.

He squatted and extended his hand towards it but it was as if there was a protective barrier his hand could not get through.

Tang Li opened the box and took out the royal gemstones of Songs and Tangs. Huangfu Lin passed her the purple royal gemstone of Huangfus that she had returned before she went to the deck.

She glanced at Mo Yuhan, "Give me yours, will you?" She pointed at the black gemstone that he was wearing as an ear stud.

Mo Yuhan tilted his head upwards, "I am not letting you do this,'' He extended his hand towards her, "Give it to me.''

She narrowed her eyes, "And why do you think would I let you do this? What if there is a side-effect."

He raised an eyebrow, "So, do you mean that the side effects won't work for you?"

Usually, Mo Yuhan would never argue with her or be petty like this. No matter what she wanted, he will always give in to her. But when it came to her safety, President Mo did not like to compromise.

This jade bangle or whatever it was….it was not an ordinary object. Even though it was right in front of his eyes, he could not touch it and that made him more cautious about it. How could he allow her to take such risks?

''I didn't say that it won't work on me," Tang Li coldly said, "But you are not doing this. Give me the black gemstone."

Mo Yuhan pursed his lips, "No."

"How about I do this?" Huangfu Lin suggested before world war III could take place.

"No." Both of them said at the same time.

The girl shrank back.

"You're too weak…" The same words came out of their mouth as Mo Yuhan and Tang Li glanced at each other.

'They are in sync,' Huangfu Lin thought to herself, feeling a bit embarrassed about being called weak. In the Huangfu Family, she was like the man of the house. Even the Elders respected her and relied on her. When has she been called weak?

She snapped out of her daze as the couple went for another round of arguments.

"Lili, don't be stubborn."

"I can say the same to you. Yuhan, stop being stubborn. Our child might inherit this trait from you."

Mo Yuhan froze, ''Where is the child?"

"In the future?" She replied.

He pursed his lips, "The mother of the 'future' child is more stubborn.''

'If you go on like this, your 'future' child might need to babysit you,' Huangfu Lin found it hard to keep her expression neutral.

Before Tang Li could say anything, Mo Yuhan spoke up again, "Either you give those to me…" He pointed his chin towards the royal gemstones in her hand, "Or we are not getting this jade bangle."

Tang Li opened her mouth to speak but Huangfu Lin patted her back, "Sister Li, we are right here. Nothing will happen to him. Don't worry okay?"

She hesitated.

Mo Yuhan sighed as he stood up. He pulled the woman into his embrace before kissing the top of her head, "Lili, aren't you here with me? I am sure you will protect me if something goes wrong.''

She bit his chest as hard as she could through the fabric of his shirt.

'Ssss' The man winced.

She immediately stood straight before caressing the spot she just bit, "Did it hurt that much?"

He chuckled.

Tang Li narrowed her eyes. It did not take her long to understand that he was just teasing her.

Grabbing his hand, she passed him the royal gemstones and turned her face to the side, "You never listen to me and always do whatever you want. Why would I protect you?'' She spoke folding her hands across her chest.

He held the back of her neck with his hand before turning her face towards him. Lowering his head, he whispered in her ear, "Because your 'future' child needs me to come to the world?" He paused for a moment before continuing, "Or because you can't live without having me warm your bed…" He licked her earlobe before walking back to the jade bangle.

Her eyes widened at his shameless words. The Mo Yuhan from a few months back would have gone red in the face before saying such things. She was sure about that. But the current Mo Yuhan was a completely upgraded version who was capable of making her red.
