From Dusk till Dawn!

Chapter 296: Rude

Tang Li glanced towards rising waves and the tranquility in the space somehow managed to put her heart to peace. She wondered why she loved the sea, maybe because that was where she met him for the first time after thirteen years.

Her gaze landed on Mo Yuhan, who was looking at her with an intense gaze all this time. They have already finished their lunch and now they were taking a walk on the seashore, barefoot as the water gently glided across their feet.

She tilted her head, "Why are you looking at me like that?" She softly asked. Was there something on her face? She raised her hand as her palm gently stroked her skin but she could not feel anything on her skin.

It was certainly amusing how she felt so self-conscious in front of him. They say that husband and wife don't hesitate to show each other's ugly side to each other and he has already seen her in her miserable states, be it when she was drugged or when she was on her period, all sweaty and ugly.

But she could not deny that despite everything, it always felt like this man was her senior whom she had been crushing on, and she must show her beautiful self in front of him. It has been more than six months since their marriage but it still felt like they were on their first date.

Looking at the woman who was turning all fidgety under his gaze, his lips slightly tugged upwards, "Weren't you hell-bent on ignoring me?" He asked.

It has been four days since that accident and he had been busy with the company matters but whenever he tried to talk to her, she would always sleep away. When he called her, her secretary would be the one to answer the call. Not letting it drag any further, he decided to visit his wife 'personally' today.

She frowned, "You don't have to remind me about that," She stopped in her tracks as she gazed at the distant skies, the weather was a bit gloomy as the grey clouds hovered around, "I know you all care for me but… I don't want it to be like this. As much as you all love me, I do the same. I just…I just don't like being kept in dark," she softly murmured.

Mo Yuhan turned around to look at the woman as she spoke. She was wearing a sea-green shimmer high neck blouse with a white pencil skirt, it was a coincidence that it went along with his white suit…

Well…Not a coincidence since he got the information from Mo Zihan about the color of the dress she was wearing. He liked it when they wore matching outfits but the man would never admit that he spent one-hour shopping for that perfect white suit since his wardrobe lacked colors.

Her long black wavy hair swayed in the direction of the wind as she spoke, "I don't know. Call me crazy but I don't like it when you all keep secrets, even if the intention is to protect me…"

"No one is calling you crazy, Lil," Her eyes snapped at him. Did he just call her 'Lil'? It sounded so pleasant to her ears.

She turned around to look at him as he continued, "I don't like the thought of putting you at risk. I don't want to lose you all over again," Thirteen years without her have been pretty bad although he never let it show on his face.

She looked into his blue eyes, "Why were you using lens back then?" She asked, wrapping an arm around his, as she shifted the topic.

From back then, she meant when they were kids. Not that she could have known his real identity if he had not used the lens because many people have got blue eyes. But when she proposed to him for marriage, she doubted for a split second if he was the same 'Senior Yuhan' she used to know because of the striking features but she shrugged it off as the blue eyes were an exception.

"Mo Jia and Mo Zihan were in the same school," Although she never met the twins but she was not surprised by the fact since Mo Yuhan is only one year older than them, "Mom wanted us to be low-key."

She smiled at that. If one found the Mo siblings standing together, it would take one second to know their identity and relation.

When she proposed to him for marriage, she had yet to know that his black ear stud is a royal gem because he had kept it low-key. Maybe it was a coincidence that she had not been wearing her royal ring which kept him from knowing the truth.

Back then in high school, Mo Yuhan used to be alone all the time, he would never talk to anyone except for Qin Jingzhe. The situation changed when she met him though.

"You used to be so rude back then," Her brows shot up as she remembered his cold glares.

Confusion marred his face, "I was not."

Before she could argue, she felt a small water droplet falling on her cheek. It was followed by another and soon it started to rain heavily. "Admit it, you were so rude," she said, putting both her hand above her head as she tilted her head.

But all she could see was darkness as Mo Yuhan had put his suit jacket above their head, his arm had found its way snaking around her waist as he pulled her closer. She could feel the strong waves of water on her till her ankles as they were standing on the seashore, the rain was supposed to make her shiver like it has been until now but his hot breath falling on her face spoke something else.

The jacket above their head was wet, partially. He pulled her closer until their bodies collided with each other. His hand glided down her waist before settling then upon her bottom, her pencil skirt was drenched as it stuck to her skin, her legs were cold, but wherever his hand trailed, warmth bloomed.

Her breathing was uneven as her chest collided with his. There was no distance between them as they clung to each other.

Butterflies? She begged to differ since she could feel the whole zoo at his touch.

"I used to skip classes…"
