From Dusk till Dawn!

Chapter 201: Tang Yichen, will you marry me?

Tang Yichen helped her in the shotgun seat as he fastened her seatbelt. He did not bother to give any reply to her andwalked to the other side of the car before getting inside.

"Hey, I asked something," Mo Jia frowned. What's up with him? Since it was confirmed that he lied about his depression, then why is he still having the mood swings?

Tang Yichen glanced at the woman's indifferent face. For a second, he felt that his sister and he were quite pitiful.

'Low EQ is indeed dangerous,' He inwardly thought as he glanced at her, his eyes narrowed slightly, "I just came to know that my girlfriend tends to disappear all of a sudden, so I came here to find her and make sure that she is alright."

Mo Jia nodded seriously, "Oh... No, I don't go anywhere on regular days. Today was just an exception."

"_" Tang Yichen was speechless. He wanted to meet the Mo Family Ancestors and find out who among them was responsible for his girlfriend's low EQ.

The man stepped on the accelerator as he drove the car towards their villa.

"That.."

"Mm? Do you have something to say?" Tang Yichen questioningly asked as he sneaked a glance at the woman who seemed to be trying to say something yet was unable to express it.

Mo Jia sighed, "Tang Yichen, will you marry me?"

'SCREEEEECH!' A high-pitched squealing sound resounded in the vast empty road, caused by the friction applied on the car's sudden brake.

Ying Yue wore a cute cartoon night suit as she laid on the queen-sized bed with her leg dangling off to one side. She motionlessly looked at the ceiling.

"It's just a crush after all. Why do I feel so hurt…" She sat up straight before taking out her phone and logged into her second account; a place where she could vent frustrations without thinking twice.

Little Angel updated her status:

[Trying to stay away from crush as I got my heartbroken!! *sniff sniff*]

Just as her head hit the pillow, a notification sound rang in her room. As she looked at her phone, she was speechless for a second.

Little devil has commented 'Liar'.

Ying Yue wondered if the person had nothing better to do or they are just crazy. In the past few days, she has noticed that whenever she posted something, this person would be the first one to comment.

If it was her official account, she wouldn't have minded such small things because of her large fan following but it was her private account in which she has added a few people. She did not remember adding someone like little devil.

She must have done it mistakenly.

Little did she know, a certain someone had prioritized all the notifications from her account. If she posted something, his phone would ring differently instantly alarming him.

"What did you say?" Tang Yichen looked at Mo Jia in disbelief. That's right! Disbelief! The ever so calm and composed fox was shocked.

He placed the back of his hand on her forehead. "There is no fever…" The man softly muttered.

Mo Jia blinked, "What?"

"Are you alright?"

She nodded her head.

"Drunk?"

She shook her head.

"On drugs?"

Mo Jia narrowed her eyes.

Tang Yichen raised both his hands as he surrendered, "So..what did you just say?"

"Uh...Will you marry me?"

The man almost doubted his hearing for a split second. The struggles he went through to have her as his girlfriend was already like a big milestone achieved for an emotionless man like him.

But who could have thought she would initiate the marriage proposal? Did she fall head over heels for him?

Unaware of the man's thought process, Mo Jia spoke up, "I don't want to get involved in some forced arranged marriage or blind date arranged by grandma. So, the only way to escape this is to get married right now."

"_" A certain someone's narcissism bubble burst out just like that. So, she wanted to marry him just to avoid her family's arrangement? Not because she was madly in love with him?!

His imaginary foxtail swished up and down as the gears in his brains worked full speed. Even if she wanted to marry him just because of the circumstances, there was no loss in it. Legally, they would be husband and wife which will keep annoying pests from her.

Tang Yichen still remembered the incident where he spotted her with that psychiatrist in the cafe which made him behave aggressively with her. Getting married would at least prevent such situations in the future, right?

So, a certain fox concluded that he should plant the tree first. As for the fruit, he can eat it when it's ripened.

"If you can't marry me right now, it's fine. I can…"

"No, no! Of course, I'll marry you," He pulled her into his embrace, "If I won't marry my girlfriend, then who will? You don't need to find other men for it."

Mo Jia opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. Find other men? When did she say something like that? Why would she find someone else when she liked him? She was just saying that she could wait if he wasn't ready for marriage.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him back, not disturbing his emotional moment.

Finally, after a few seconds, she opened her mouth to ask, "So, when can we…"

The man interrupted her, a bit too excited for his own good, "Now...We can get married now."

Mo Jia frowned as she looked outside the car. It was already dark. "It's late.."

"Not late at all," Tang Yichen once again cut her off in the mid-sentence, "Let's go to the Civil Affairs office."

"But it's really late. We can go tomorrow..."

"Nope, it's just past eleven o'clock right now. They are working overtime today," As the fox that he was, he knew how to 'talk and trap'. It was even easier to do that when it came to Mo Jia who was a little slow in certain things.

"How do you know?" She furrowed her brows. She had never heard about something like the Civil Affairs Office staff working overtime.

"Err...Don't bother about unnecessary things," The man released her from the hug and fastened the seatbelt around her, "Let's go and get married."

Get married...The term seemed to have contained magic as her heartbeat sped up. She placed her hand above her chest, feeling her crazily racing heartbeats. 'It's happening again…' she thought as she looked at him.

Tang Yichen frowned as he stroked her cheeks, "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

"No," she turned her face away trying to dodge the feverish sensation that spread through her body from the spot where he touched.

Tang Yichen's eyes flashed. When they were strangers, he wanted to know more about her. When he got to know her, he wanted to get closer. Now that they dated, he was trying his best to marry her. He was sure that she liked him but he craved for more than that. The way he loved her soul, her entire existence, he also wanted her to fall for him.

Maybe he was greedy or just insecure, he did not know how to explain his feelings.

'Let me dote on you, until you get used to me, until you desire us, until you want us to be together till eternity.'

"Hey...Where are you lost?"

He snapped out of his daze and placed a kiss on her forehead, "Let's go."

'Ring...Ring...Ring...'

"Ughh…" Tang Li groaned as she tried to sit up to get hold of the phone. But due to being embraced by a certain someone, the only part of her body that was able to move was her right hand.

She extended her hand to grab the phone from the bedside table but it seemed like forever yet she was unable to get it.

"Yuhan.." She huskily murmured his name. Not that her voice was naturally like that, it was just the after-effects of screaming too loud during certain physical exercises.

"Mm…" The man hugged her tighter as he asked, "Want it again?"

"What are you talking about?" Her eyes snapped open, she could still feel herself sore down there yet he was talking about 'again'? Where is your conscience, man?!

"Then?"

Tang Li rolled her eyes. He obviously heard the continuous ringing of his phone yet he was in the mood to pretend. "Who the heck is calling you at six o'clock in the morning?" She tiredly rolled back into his embrace.

They just slept a few hours ago, for god's sake!

He supported her head on one arm while his other hand grabbed the phone. "It's Secretary Yu…" the man muttered.

Tang Li rubbed her eyes, "It better be urgent or else we are sleeping in different rooms for a week," she mumbled sleepily.

Mo Yuhan's aura turned cold as he glanced at the phone and answered the call before putting it near beside his ear.
