From Dusk till Dawn!

Chapter 190: A pair of jade-annulus

Tang Li glanced at the man who looked like twenty-something years old as she inwardly sighed. It was her fault anyway since she was walking absent-mindedly.

"It's fine.." She slightly bent her back as she stretched out her hand to pick up her phone from the floor.

Just as her fingers touched the phone, her hazel eyes flashed with a cold light.

The bright lights reflected on the shiny surface of the dagger as it aimed straight at her neck.

She slightly shifted her body as the sharp blade grazed the strap of her spaghetti dress as a slight rasp of material ripping could be heard.

A few strands of her waist-length black hair fell on the floor as she twirled her body slightly, grabbing the dagger and their positions switched in a flash.

The tip of the dagger rested on the man's adam apple.

'Bang,' A gunshot was heard as Li Yu shot the person's knee before he could make any movement.

As he looked at Tang Li from behind the alcoves of the door, a complicated light flashed in his eyes. Wasn't she supposed to be weak? Then, how was she so swift?!

When the man crashed into her, they were going to take action right at that moment but everything seemed fine by the way the man apologized.

It wasn't until he took out the dagger that they got to know his real intentions but just as he aimed his gun at the man, Tang Li made some moment which piqued his curiosity which is why he stopped everyone from making any move. But who could have thought that woman had some tricks up to her sleeves?!

Li Yu snapped his fingers as several men came out of their hidings.

As she looked at them, her eyes squinted. She slightly twisted her neck as the locks of her hair fell above her right shoulder, covering her exposed collarbones elegantly.

Li Yu hit the side of the man's neck knocking him out while two men dragged the person to the back.

Just as the man turned around to look at the so-called 'Young Mistress' of his, what came to his view was instead a dagger inches away from his forehead. With a swift movement, he caught it before it could pierce through his skull.

"Nice catch," Tang Li spoke but the amusement on her face further infuriated the man.

He gritted his teeth, 'This woman is indeed evil.'

"Lili…" Mo Yuhan's voice immediately brought the twenty men to the knees.

But the man himself was not in the mood to care about anything else as he made his way towards Tang Li, it was like nothing existed except her.

Tang Li turned around to look at him but just as she opened her mouth to say something he pulled her into his arms before burying his face in her neck. Her chocolaty scent seemed to be soothing his wildly racing heart.

When he heard her shriek on the phone, he panicked but when the call got disconnected, wild thoughts started consuming his mind as he made his way towards the ground floor.

"Hey, I'm fine," Tang Li softly whispered. She was still not used to see this ever so calm and confident man being so insecure over her.

"Mm..you are. You must be fine no matter what!"

She leaned into his warmth; possessive, tyrannical, ruthless, every inch of him was the devil they spoke of. But why was she not afraid of him?!

Maybe because no matter what people say, to her, he was still the Prince Charming that she fantasized about in her seventh standard.

The couple looked so ethereal that it would even make the heavens envy them.

Outside the pink bubble, the guards were awestruck by the jade-annulus pair until… their legs felt a little… sore!

They looked down at their half-kneeling positions as their eyes filled with self-pity. Their gazes then traveled to their Captain who was still kneeling indifferently as if he did not feel anything but the truth was far from that.

Though Li Yu pretended to be indifferent, was it really the truth?!

If glares could kill, Tang Li would have died a hundred times over. Li Yu glared at her with narrowed eyes as he cursed the woman for being a vixen.

Tang Li, who felt the cold glare directed upon her raised an eyebrow. She slightly pushed Mo Yuhan before turning around to sneak a peek at Li Yu. From the moment she saw him, she could sense the hatred emanating from him but she did not care.

As she looked at the man half-kneeling on the floor with gritted teeth and clenched fists, her eyes glittered with mischief.

A playful light flashed in her eyes as she twirled the locks of her hair between the fingers, her lips pouting in the grievance. "Yuhan~ I was so scared," she muttered as she tilted her head and locked his lips with hers.
