Chapter 28 Cultivating Corn Seedlings

“Jiang Yue, Jiang Yue, are you done?” Hearing the door creak open, Li Hehua, who was patiently waiting outside, immediately rushed in. “I’ll help you pour the water out. You’re so small, I’m sure you can’t do it alone.”

Li Hehua was very happy to help her.

Jiang Yue looked at Li Hehua’s back and came to the conclusion that she really liked children. However, she never had her own child. She hoped that her sister-in-law would be able to get pregnant in the future.

“Thank you.”

“What’s there to thank me for? If there’s anything else, just call me. If you don’t sleep now, you won’t be able to see anymore.”

“Yes, you should sleep early too.”

“Alright, alright, alright. Remember to cover yourself with a blanket. It’s still a little cold at night. If there’s anything, just shout. There are people at home, don’t be afraid.”

“Yes.”

Li Hehua hadn’t left yet, and Xue Dafu and the others also came over. They were all worried about her sleeping alone, and they all told her to close the door and shout if anything happened.

Due to them being worried, they asked her to bolt the door from the inside and make sure that she really closed the door before they left.

Jiang Yue’s heart felt warm. She only walked to the wooden bed after Xue Dafu and the others had left. She took off her shoes and climbed onto the bed.

Although there was a window in the room, it was almost completely dark outside. She could only see a little bit. Naturally, it was even darker inside the room.

In fact, there was an oil lamp in the house, but there wasn’t much oil. Xue Dafu’s family didn’t light it, afraid that it would waste the oil. They went to bed early, so she didn’t light it either.

However, she didn’t close her eyes and go to sleep immediately. Instead, she entered her space.

No matter when she entered the space, it would always be bright.

She planned to cultivate the corn seedlings first.

On the other hand, Da Ling only had yellow corn, not white, purple, or black corn. She wanted to cultivate a few seedlings of white, purple, and black corn so that they could be scattered among the yellow corn. Others would think that the yellow corn had somehow mutated like this, and it would not be too strange. If they found it delicious, Xue Dafu’s family would definitely keep some seeds. The next year, she could openly grow more white, black, and purple corn.

With that thought in mind, Jiang Yue operated on the operating table according to her own idea.

First, she chose the yellow corn seeds, then she chose a few white, purple, and black corn seeds. She had these seeds enter the nursery. After a day, they would grow into strong seedlings, and she could plant them at any time the family was occupied. She would replace the seedlings from the one acre of a corn field that Xue Dafu’s family had planted.

Jiang Yue only came out of the space to sleep after she was done.

She had a strong ability to adapt, and there was nothing that she was not used to. The moment she closed her eyes, she slowly fell asleep and entered her dreamland.

The next day, Jiang Yue woke up just as the sun rose. She didn’t have the habit of lazing in bed, so she got up and started to put on her clothes.

She was small, and the clothes she wore were even smaller.

After putting on her clothes, she got off the bed and began to put on her shoes.

Just as she was bending over to put on her clothes, there was a knock on the door, followed by Li Hehua’s voice, “Jiang Yue, are you awake? I heard some noises coming from your room.”

“Yes, I’m awake!” Jiang Yue immediately answered loudly and went to open the door. Then, she saw Li Hehua holding a wooden comb and a few red hairpins in her hands, ready to comb her hair.

Yesterday, she had just casually styled her hair. She didn’t know how to comb the hair of the people from ancient times, and she didn’t want to waste time tying it up. Li Hehua noticed that and suggested lending a hand.
