Emperor's Reckoning

987 Broken Rose Rumbling!

King Cae entered the dreadful spatial storm without any protection but his own body and a few layers of his clothing. The grueling thunders kept him up and there he saw the couple standing side by side.

In this place where gods died in a single smith, the two proudly Mortal World-born cultivators paid no heed to the dangers surrounding him.

The king turned his head back, taking a glance only to see the vastness of the spatial storm. He gritted his teeth before facing the couple at the front. His hands coupled to a fist. "Do you know what you've done?!"

"Do... you...?!" Lyon glared. "You attempted to murder my wife, don't think that I wouldn't dare to put Second Heaven into everlasting turmoil!"

"Gah! You're insane! For a woman?!" asked King Cae as he breathed heavily. "You will sink Second Heaven for a woman?"

"Not just a woman," said Lyon as his eyes shimmered golden. "She is my wife!"

Lyon plunged forward with foreboding rage as four weightless golden tails supported his extreme mobility in this vast place of an eternal storm.

"You think you're the only powerful one?! Let me show you what a level eight Origin God has to offer!!" shouted King Cae before he summoned his sentient weapon. "Come Throden!"

The whip was made out of a vine and black charred. There were thorns adorning the vine except for the handle itself and they were pulsing with dark-yellow viscous liquid pulsing.

"Gah!" King Cae swung his shallow arm and the whip danced in the air surmounting the power of chipping a mountain.

Lyon narrowly dodged the incoming lash and paused.

"Heh," King Cae smirked. "Even in that heinous form, you still have keen eyes."

"Heinous you say?" Lyon raised his brows before he furrowed them. Headdress formed on his head and armors surrounded his wellbeing. Four banners flared the vanity of his honor and the natural instinct of that of Devil Ape.

"What the..." King Cae couldn't believe his eyes before he saw a random lightning strike go straight to Lyon's torso. The full-blown misfortune left a mark on the armor but didn't flinch the man wearing it.

Lyon looked down and wiped it with the back of his hand. His ears twitched before one of his tails moved.

The lash and the golden tail clashed and produced a shockwave that fluttered Selena's hair.

"Heh, fool," King Cae muttered as he saw that Lyon chose to block the attack. "I am quite disappointed Lyon, I thought that you have the power to face Second Heaven, but it seems like it's just all talk."

"I'm quite disappointed as well, attempting to murder my wife and me, and this is the level of poison you can exert? Pathetic, the Monkey King's Wine is still a thousand more potent that your silly mix."

"W-What?! Monkey King's Wine you say?! You...! You drink the Monkey King's Wine?!" said King Cae as he once more entered trepidation.

Lyon smirked. "You think that you saw me being healthy as the product of your antidote? I didn't drink any of it."

King Cae's pupils shrunk. "No, no, impossible! The Monkey King's Wine is a lost legend!"

"Well then you should be elated, 'cause you're seeing one right here," said Lyon as he crossed his arms.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" King Cae shouted before his hand danced as the lashes rained on Lyon.

"Useless," said Lyon as he kept his hands crossed. The golden tails all moved forward and countered every single lash that was coming whilst Lyon's hair fluttered with each blow. "Is this the best that you can do Cae? Is this the one that is hungry for Second Heaven? A fangless dog!"

Lyon opened his arms as he casually hovered forward. His tails kept repelling the lashes until the length was not enough for an effective one.

"Die!" King Cae hovered back and gained a distance before the veins in his arm popped as the lash even broke the incoming thunder from the spatial storm and straight toward Lyon's head.

"Tch!" Lyon grabbed the incoming lash before coiling around his hand once.

King Cae was in disbelief. He could see that the poison was entering Lyon's body, however, the man was still standing menacingly. "Impossible..."

Lyon pulled the whip and King Cae was coming from the sudden force. One of the golden tails quickly coiled around the king's neck and choked him up.

The king was not as muscular as Drogan and he was not as quick, however, his greatest quirk didn't work against Lyon. He was truly just a burly wind trying to make the mountain bow.

"W-W-What are you?!" asked the king as he looked at Lyon, who had a supreme general aura surrounding him.

"Hmph! I'm Selena's husband and I'm the grandson of Sun of the Devil Ape!" said Lyon.

( Devil Ape?! The dreaded race from Hell!? The battle-crazed monkeys?! ) thought King Cae before shouting, "You're actually from Hell?!"

Lyon punched his abdomen before King Cae raised his brows and thought ( So... light? W-What's going on?! Is it poison?! ).

Lyon let out a second punch and rested on the king's abdomen once more.

"W...What's going on... what are you doing?!" King Cae was flooding in trepidation. He didn't feel any pain at all as Lyon launched his fist, then another, then another. He knew something was wrong, but he didn't know what. The thought of the unknown gripped the fear of his soul all his goosebumps.

The fourth coming was light. The fifth was light. Then the sixth, it was still light.

Lyon inhaled through his nose before he revealed sharp eyes. His teeth grinned as he revealed a pair of fangs. The veins in his forearms bulged before he launched the seventh through ten in one instant.

( Wait a minute... it's getting heavier...  don't tell me... it's heavier the more hits he sent! ) thought King Cae before he realized how truly dreadful his situation was.

"Ha!!" Lyon sent out a flurry of fists toward the king's helpless body without stopping. The sound of flesh beat even the storms surrounding them. The power was getting higher and heavier with each punch.

One hundred, one thousand, and then ten thousand, Lyon was not stopping at all even when the thunder sometimes struck him. He was relentless as King Cae refused to die.

Back in the corridor, Reinhard was struggling to get up. The antidote has started to take effect and he could feel his muscle functioning once again. He tried to bow at King Nyi, but the latter immediately gestured for him to not be so polite.

"Things had escalated," King Nyi sighed. "This is truly my bad luck."

"Cae is dead," said Rayus.

"What did you say?" asked King Nyi.

"The king of this kingdom, is dead," said Rayus.

"Dead? I won't be so sure, he is more powerful than Ifiz, and he is a maestro of poison, perhaps they will end in a draw," said King Nyi. "I hope they do."

"It's no use," Rayus shook his head. "At that last second, I felt his bloodlust, not the madam, but his." ( I almost fainted, I would have were he not entered the spatial crack that madam created ).

King Nyi sighed, "The world is not just about cultivation, as a king, I saw the world vastly different, no man can bear the weight of an entire realm alone not to mention facing one."

"You think that he cares?" asked Rayus.

"He is your teacher, he should teach you that there are more important things than cultivation," said King Nyi.

"He did," answered Reinhard.

"Yeah, he sure did," Noah made a wry smile.

"Then he is of quality, but... if he killed Cae now, I would be implicated, and that would be unwise," said King Nyi.

"Then why don't you leave, King Nyi?" asked Rayus. "You still have time."

"Regardless of what happened in the battle, your teacher is crucial and responsible for the shift of power in Second Heaven, if he is poisoned by Cae, I can do som— Hmm?" King Nyi furrowed his brows and noticed fissures around him. He hesitantly took a few steps back with a glance locked on the space.

Noah gulped, "The space... it's ripping?!"

"Kh?!" Reinhard had his eyes widened before he shoved his body toward his two friends, "Look out!"

The space broke like shattered glass and unraveled Lyon with his fist pointed upward inside the king's abdomen.

The people were in disbelief at the image reflected in their eyes. The king was helplessly under the govern of Lyon's flurry fist, even the tail didn't need to hold the king's neck anymore. Blood splattered everywhere from the walls to the ceiling and the floors. The king was kept in mid-air as the body swung in the direction of where Lyon's fist went.

"Hmph!" Lyon pulled his right hand and the armor around his arm broke apart as four blessings coiled around his arm. The heavy fist bent the space as it launched before the knuckles spun upon impact against the chest, launching King Cae over the balcony toward the sea with blood trailing.

"Guha!" The king coughed blood in mid-air. ( What disastrous power! )

"Rumbling... Heaven!"

The king's battered eyes flinched as he looked up at the sky. Golden Fists rained down from behind the clouds.

"NOOOO!!! AR—"

The first fist pushed him to the sea bed before the rest exploded the salty water upward. The ground was tremored and waves formed even propelled the ships into the kingdom.

The kingdom was in a mix of uproar panic and awe seeing the golden fists raining down.

The three students gawked in disbelief as all the remaining guards and mids lost their footing. They all looked at the man that had four tails standing upright on the balcony with his arms crossed facing the quaked sea.

( So this is... his true power?! ) thought King Nyi before he felt a sharp thing poking his neck. He looked to the side and found a gorgeous woman with a cold glance ready to sever his life.

Lyon exhaled and transformed back to his normal form. He turned and looked at the others whilst the golden fists still showed no sign of stopping.
