What Is She Betting On? (3)

Ji Qingzhou had already seen Meng Yaolan’s movement. She realized that she locked on the same green peach as her. Meng Yaolan was in front and she was behind. If she wanted to compete for this green peach, she could only surpass her.

When the two locked on the same green peach as their target, the cultivators on the disc became exhilarated. This was really exciting. There were more than three green peaches in the Peach Garden. Were they eyeing the same one at the same time?

The reason Ji Qingzhou wanted the peach was that her magic power wasn’t enough to cast too many search spells, so she could only lock on one and pick one.

The reason why Meng Yaolan wanted the peach was that she liked it. She was at the forefront, and it was already in her pocket. She just wanted to pass by and then pick it up easily.

The cultivators on the disc were still discussing animatedly. Naturally, the topic was that Ji Qingzhou was really unlucky, and some said it was beyond her capability to compete with Meng Yaolan.

The only person who kept his gaze at Ju Qingzhou was Shen Rongyu, who was sitting in the middle of the crowd. His eyesight was excellent, and he saw Ji Qingzhou’s gesture to Bingshuang at a glance.

She ordered her to speed up.

When Bingshuang was flying, she would take care of Ji Qingzhou to prevent her from being thrown off because of her speed. Her current flight speed wasn’t the peak of her strength. When Ji Qingzhou gave her such an instruction, she obeyed without any hesitation, and the force of her flapping wings doubled.

With the strong wind blowing, Ji Qingzhou ducked lower, her hands tightly clinging to Bingshuang’s neck, adjusting her posture to adapt herself to her speed.

All the cultivators were astonished when they noticed her actions.

“What is she doing? If she’s thrown away at such a precipitous speed, she may not necessarily survive!”

“She thinks she can surpass Miss Meng, doesn’t she?”

“That’s really courting death…”

“If she dies, she deserves it,” Qiu Mingxue commented while watching. It was also her first time seeing a beasts’s speed.

“She should…can’t possibly…” Ying Xiu replied. She thought Ji Qingzhou was amazing, and it seemed that every action she made had a corresponding reason.

Even though everyone was worried about her, worried that she would fall, Ji Qingzhou quickly adjusted and got used to the Bingshuang’s speed. Nevertheless, her fingers on Bingshuang’s neck have turned white. Obviously, this took a lot of effort, and she couldn’t hold on for long.

Meng Yaolan also noticed Ji Qingzhou’s approach. She also accelerated in response and charged straight towards the green peach, but Ji Qingzhou’s speed was crazier than hers.

Ji Qingzhou was a straight line thinker. She had no choice. She locked on to that green peach, and she just wanted that one.

She hugged Bingshuang’s neck a little tighter, and Bingshuang accelerated anew — She sped up to her own maximum speed.

There were abundant flower stands in the Peach Garden. Their green leaves were lush, and flowers were in clusters. Bingshuang swept between the gaps between the flowers and plants, bringing down flowers in her wake.

There was a sharp bend at the dead corner where the green peach was. If Bingshuang kept up with her crazy speed, she would likely move uncontrollably and directly hit the flower racks, or she would be separated from her master, once the cultivator was directly thrown away due to the inertia of the sharp changing of directions.

At this point, the distance between Ji Qingzhou and Meng Yaolan was already very close, and out of caution, Meng Yaolan  slowed down her Profound Frost Beast.

But —

“Miss Ji didn’t slow down. With such a fast speed and such a sharp turn, even if she could pick the fruit, her Profound Frost Beast might not be able to make it.”

“This… what is she trying to do?”

Listening to the chatters nearby, Shen Rongyu wasn’t at all surprised at Ji Qingzhou’s performance. She was a block of wood. Once she identified a target, she would crash into it in a straight line regardless of what was on the road.

However, when Bingshuang brought her close to the sharp bend, he stood up with his sword and stood beside the disc, ready to leave at any time.

She looked as if she was really going to be flung away.

Ji Qingzhou had persisted to this moment. Her small palms were almost unable to wrap around Bingshuang’s neck. Her fingers were bent hard, clawing at the ice film on the surface of Bingshuang’s fur, but her whitened fingertips still couldn’t stop sliding backwards.

Still, she didn’t order Bingshuang to slow down, so of course Bingshuang did nothing about it. She just flew past the bends with ease.

When approaching the bend, Ji Qingzhou and Meng Yaolan were already at the same pace. Meng Yaolan turned her head and glanced at her in surprise, but all she saw was Ji Qingzhou’s scattered silky hair fluttering behind her, and the blasts of wind that Bingshuang brought by.

Even Meng Yaolan was startled by this imposing breakneck flight and moved aside.

Bingshuang turned abruptly. Her wings glided, and the beast’s body turned sideways, maintaining her maximum speed without slowing down.

Ji Qingzhou fell off because of this tilt. Her hands lost their strength and slid right off Bingshuang’s neck.

Her body left Bingshuang!

Even Elder Qu Ting flew nearby. He was afraid that an accident would happen here, but Shen Rongyu, who was standing on the side of the disc, just pressed his sword hilt tightly and did not move.

The moment Ji Qingzhou fell, Bingshuang’s wings just bent down, and then just happened to catch her. Her wings flapped, and she was thrown upwards—

The advantage of her lightness was revealed at this juncture. Her petite figure was tossed up and fell back on Bingshuang’s back. Bingshuang crossed the bend and wrenched right back up, so she stabilized herself again.

At the final corner, Ji Qingzhou overtook Meng Yaolan, stretched out her arms, and plucked the peach they targeted at the same time.

The cooperation between the cultivator and the spirit beast shown this time was beyond perfect. The Profound Frost Beast’s wings flapped up and down very frequently, but who could guarantee that its wings were on an upward flap just when she fell?

Did Ji Qingzhou bet on this?

— Of course, Ji Qingzhou could guarantee it. She had already calculated the limit of her physical strength when flying. At the exact moment she released her hold, Bingshuang’s wings, according to her accustomed flapping frequency, just happened to be moving upwards.

Everything was within her plan.

Ji Qingzhou won this first round of assessment in the Peach Garden. She picked the first green peach and at the same time overtook Meng Yaolan, declaring her victory in the Peach Garden.
