Demon Hunter and His Hut

Chapter 22 Amanda

The next day before dawn, Roger heard a faint quarrel from downstairs. He changed his clothes, opened the door, and walked down the stairs.

"Amanda, you are not allowed to go anywhere today, just stay at home for me!"

Andrine's voice was full of suppressed anger, "Your aunt called me this morning to tell me that you didn't go back for the night!"

"This is what we agreed, no matter how late you play, you must go home that day!"

"Look at your current state!"

Andreine lost her usual composure and composure.

"What am I doing back here?"

A clear female voice said softly.

"Anyway, you're not at home, so what's the difference between returning to such a home or not?"

The sound of rapid footsteps came, and a young girl with messy red hair suddenly appeared at the entrance of the stairs.

She obviously did not expect that there were other people standing on the stairs, and she was caught off guard and almost collided with Roger.

She looked at Roger in astonishment.

"Who are you?"

"Why are you at our house?"

At this time, Andreen also caught up from behind. Seeing a trace of embarrassment flashing across Roger's face, she hurriedly introduced, "This is Roger, this is my daughter Amanda..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Amanda chuckled, "This is your new boyfriend?"

"Looks a lot better than that silly Greg!"

"Amanda!"

Andreen almost roared out of her teeth. Seeing that her mother was really angry, Amanda knew that her joke just now was too much. She shrank her head and made a face at Roger.

Then he stumbled upstairs.

"Get dressed and come down for breakfast!"

Amanda shouted loudly.

Turning to Roger, Amanda looked apologetic, "I'm sorry, did the conversation between us disturb you."

"This girl is getting more and more outrageous. Sooner or later, I will be mad at him to death."

"Mom... I can hear you."

Amanda's voice came.

Andrine simply ignored her and waved to Roger, "I made breakfast, let's come down and eat together."

"OK."

Roger nodded, but was no longer polite.

Breakfast is simple, omelette with milk and bread, and a little homemade blueberry jam.

Not long after Roger sat down at the table, the girl named Amanda got dressed and came to the dining room.

She has bright red hair tied in a beautiful ponytail at the back of her head, her skin is very white, her arms look thin, but her face is a little chubby.

Under her fair skin, the freckles on her cheeks were particularly eye-catching, but this did not destroy her beauty, on the contrary, it gave her a naughty youthful atmosphere.

"Look at what?"

Amanda rolled her eyes at Roger and said angrily.

"Amanda!" Andrine glared at the girl.

Amanda spread the jam on the bread by herself, "How do you become a mother, someone is wrong to your daughter, and you are indifferent..."

"Shut up and eat!"

Andreine thumped the table lightly and hard.

"Today is the weekend, don't go out and run around, and accompany Roger around town for a while. He is here for the first time, and he is not familiar with Bay Town at all."

Amanda pouted and was about to refuse, but when she saw a few banknotes slapped on the table by Andreen, a smile instantly filled her face.

"Don't worry Mom, I promise to finish the task."

Andreen turned to look at Roger, "The police station hasn't received a notification yet, don't worry, take advantage of the rest day and spend a good two days in Bay Town, I'll let you know as soon as there is news. you."

"Thank you,

Ms Andreen. "

For the female sheriff in front of him, Roger thanked her from the bottom of his heart.

The identity problem hanging over his head has not been resolved. Roger didn't intend to go out to hang out, but he thought about it. A place where he can relocate the hunter's hut.

When he came back last night, he had quietly tested it, and none of the houses along the way could meet the relocation requirements.

What's more tragic is that Roger doesn't know anything about the relocation request, and now he has a black eye and can only go out and try his luck.

Before leaving, Andreen called Amanda aside and said something in a low voice. When he came back, her attitude towards Roger had obviously eased a lot, and she would no longer make some trivial jokes.

The two rode their bicycles and wandered aimlessly in the town along the tree-lined path. Roger noticed that Amanda took him to some relatively remote places.

The red-haired girl didn't say much after going out. Roger's attention was focused on the surrounding houses. In this way, the two walked around silently for the whole morning.

"You really lived on the island with a murderer for almost a month?"

Sitting in a fast food restaurant on the side of the street, Amanda asked curiously while stuffing chips in her mouth.

Roger was stunned.

Based on what he knew about Andreen, even if he could explain his origins, it should not involve specific case information.

Seeing to see his doubts, Amanda explained nonchalantly, "I secretly saw the documents she brought home, so I know what she's going to do the next day."

Roger didn't expect that the girl who looked rough and leafy in front of him, although he didn't seem to deal with Andreen on the surface, but in fact he was still very concerned about her.

Roger nodded.

He didn't want to go into too much detail on the issue, because the more he said, the more likely he would be exposed.

"cool!"

Amanda smiled and gave a thumbs up.

"Tell me, what did you do on the island?"

She stared at Roger strangely, "Although you are thinner and don't quite fit my aesthetic, I think in the eyes of some greasy middle-aged uncles, you should..."

"Hey, has he touched you?"

The curiosity in Amanda's eyes was almost engraved on her face, she leaned forward and asked enthusiastically.

Did this guy eat all the fries in his head?

Roger's face is black, and this kind of question can also be asked? Once he really experienced something on the island, I am afraid that he will fall ill on the spot under the repeated pressure of this girl?

Just when he didn't know how to answer, Amanda's phone suddenly vibrated on the table.

"Hey?"

Amanda answered the phone, and after a few chats, a hint of hesitation appeared on her face, "Is it today?"

She glanced at Roger and shook her head, "I'm afraid not today."

"Uh... well, okay."

Hanging up, Amanda gave Roger a tentative look.

"Anything?" Roger asked curiously.

"If you help me with my mother's lie, I'll take you to a mysterious place in a while, and introduce you to a few beauties by the way."

Amanda seduced.
