Bulgarian Empire

Chapter 6: Tickets?

Ferdinand knew that since the cheap version of the car has come out, can the great development of the automobile industry be far behind?

For the needs of future development, Ferdinand decided to split the Bulgarian Machinery Factory.

To be honest, the current Bulgarian machinery factory is already too big, with everything from small hardware accessories to steam turbine engines for battleships!

More than 80% of the output value of Bulgaria's machinery manufacturing industry is contributed by machinery factories!

The current Bulgarian machinery factory or group has as many as 1.468 million employees, 186 large and small subsidiaries, and 756 various processing and manufacturing plants, all over the entire industrial system of Bulgaria!

Although Ferdinand also reorganized the machinery factory into a group company before, but in the face of the increasingly large industry, it is still a bit powerless to manage it!

After all, so many bright and complicated industries are enough to dazzle people, let alone manage them?

There may be such all-around talents, but for Ferdinand, it's better not to look for them!

Numerous examples from later generations told him that monopoly is beneficial to promote social development and save resources at the beginning of social and economic development; but in the later stage, monopoly enterprises will become increasingly prominent due to lack of competition and internal contradictions, which will reduce production efficiency instead!

"Born in sorrow and died in peace"!

This sentence is not only applicable to a country, but also applicable to a company, otherwise there will not be so many big companies in the future, and they will not be able to keep up with the development of the times in the later period!

This is especially prominent in state-owned enterprises and monopoly enterprises! Due to the lack of market competition, the leadership of the company lacks crisis awareness, and gradually degenerates and only fights for power and profit, and does not think about making progress!

This is absolutely not allowed by Ferdinand. How can his own property be ruined by a group of moths?

Now Ferdinand has decided to split it up. According to his plan, the Bulgarian Machinery Group after the split will transform from one giant to six smaller giants!

After the split, the six small giants will carry out a clear strategic division of labor, and each will focus on one aspect of development. At the same time, they will also set foot in other industries to compete with each other, promote the discovery of productivity, and accelerate industrial upgrading!

Among them, the little-known automobile company was also independent, and a group company-Bulgarian Volkswagen Group was also formed separately!

Since it is a group company, of course there is not only one automobile production plant, it also includes an engine production plant, more than ten spare parts production plants of various sizes, and an after-sales service company in major cities in Eastern Europe.

Of course, this is at this stage. In the future, Ferdinand will gradually throw out all the spare parts factories with low profits in order to reduce management costs!

Judging from the name, it is obvious that Ferdinand is preparing to promote civilian cars. However, this civilian refers to the middle class, as well as the military nobles who have just risen. Ordinary people still cannot afford it!

Even for the cheapest car, the market price cannot be lower than 5,000 levs, and the initial sales may be more than 8,000 levs!

This number, in theory, an ordinary worker can survive five or six years without eating or drinking!

But Ferdinand knew that this is actually impossible. After deducting daily expenses, Bulgarian workers can save 500 levs a year, which is very rare!

Most of these people are skilled workers, or the backbone of the business! After deducting expenses, most people can have a balance of two or three hundred levs, which is not bad. This premise is not to be sick, otherwise there may be debts!

This is also a common problem faced by the working class all over the world at that time, and it is not bad like Bulgaria!

Basically, larger factories are still equipped with medical staff under the pressure of public opinion, and basic minor problems can still be solved internally, otherwise the problem will be more serious!

Ferdinand clearly wanted to solve this problem,

It will not be possible until the productivity develops to a certain level!

Otherwise, with the level of industrial production at the beginning of the 20th century, even if the capitalists in Bulgaria were all saints, it would be impossible to take no profits!

Oh, according to Ferdinand's usual style, problems that cannot be solved will be put on hold for the time being, so the issue of universal medical care has been put on hold by the Bulgarian government indefinitely!

...

In 1908, the good news of Bulgaria was one after another. Just now Ferdinand received another piece of good news-the dreadnought built by Bulgaria itself was launched on the berth of Dixov Shipyard!

This is also due to the selfless dedication of the French!

Due to internal problems, the French reacted a step slower in this era of naval battleship revolution, and the French cannon and big ship faction fell into a disadvantage in the internal struggle!

But the big guns and big ships in the French Navy were not reconciled to failure. After receiving Bulgaria's request for help, they took the Bulgarian warship as a testing ground for their new technology!

They are trying to prove that their ideas are correct through practical actions!

Therefore, the dreadnought ship of Bulgaria can be regarded as the crystallization of the industries of the Netherlands, France, and Bulgaria. Therefore, the manufacturing speed of this warship is a little faster than Ferdinand expected!

Ferdinand approved the construction of the warship in 1907, and by April 1908, the construction of the shore part of the warship was completed.

On April 6, 1908, it was successfully launched on the No. 1 slipway of Dixoff Shipyard. According to this speed, by the end of 1908 or the beginning of 1909, it may be completed!

At that time, Bulgaria is likely to become the second country in the world to have dreadnoughts after the British!

Oh, although it still can't change the weak status of the Bulgarian navy, it is still very good to boost the morale of the people!

In the era of sea power, the influence of the navy is much greater than that of the army! Just like Germany is now the world's largest army power, and its economic strength has surpassed that of the United Kingdom, but everyone still thinks that the British are the world's hegemon!

Similarly, Italy, as a rising star, is considered the sixth largest power in Europe because it has a good navy, even if their army is scumbag!

On the contrary, Bulgaria is also a rising star. Its economic aggregate is on par with Italy, and its heavy industry has surpassed Italy. The army is also known as Prussia in the Balkans, but because its navy is too weak, it is considered a quasi-power!

Therefore, Ferdinand was willing to spend such a high price to build this dreadnought ship. In addition to enhancing the strength of the navy militarily and boosting the morale of the people, the more important thing is for political influence!

To put it simply, it is to get a ticket to join the Great Powers Club! In addition to the established powers, it is not easy for rising stars to get this ticket!

The Germans defeated the French and rose strongly; the Americans chose the Spaniards to settle down and got admission tickets; the Japanese first defeated the Manchus and then the Russians in the Far East before joining Go in!

Obviously, Bulgaria can't do all of this! Although they also defeated the Ottoman Empire, the current status of the Ottomans is no longer qualified to be a stepping stone!

And the European continent has formed two big groups, one hair can affect the whole body, in short Ferdinand dare not touch it!

Except for this direct and rude method, the rest is Italy. It has also fought wars, but unfortunately its record is not very good. After that, it established a powerful navy and was gradually accepted by the great powers!

After careful consideration, Ferdinand decided to learn from the Italians, otherwise Bulgaria would never even think about joining the club of great powers before World War I!

The problem of the division of colonies is small, anyway, the world is almost divided now; but the issue of status in the Allies, this is serious!

This is related to the distribution of Bulgaria's interests in the future, the treatment of the great powers and the treatment of ordinary allies, which are completely two concepts!
