Blood demon leveling

Time quickly passed… Mike spent most of his time accompanying Julie as they spent their time first walking around the garden, then after a couple of weeks by walking around the city under heavy escort, Julie gradually returned to her former self, the only difference being that she now required blood as a stable part of her diet, she did however have some pretty extreme nightmares which she didn't share with anyone Mike included, Mike of course knew about her nightmares as they spent the long night embracing each other and when she awoke so did he… But he didn't press her about as he knew she would tell him when she was ready, at least he hoped so…

And so a mere six weeks after Mike received Julie with his blood the two of them returned to the dungeon to get Julie in combat shape again, by now they were famous in the city of Tursk, after all it wasn't everyday people got to see some escorted by eight heavily armored and armed level 5's… Perhaps infamous would be a better word? Anyway the two of them became well known for better or worse.

Julie breathed out heavily as the hobgoblin fell to the ground, Mike stood and watched her for a little ways away and gave a nod.

"Looks like all the important stuff is still there, what do you think Julie?"

Julie lowered her sword before she turned her head slightly in Mike's direction and spoke

"Yeah, but there's something I am not quite sure about yet…"

Julie walked over to Mike before she showed him her palm where a sharp pierce of crystalized blood had priced her skin, Mike gave a nod

"Yeah that would be a new sensation wouldn't it… Does it hurt to do that?"

Julie shook her head slowly before she pulled the crystalized blood back into her body and the wound quickly closed

"No it doesn't hurt… It's just… A weird feeling"

"I see… Shall we call it for today?"

"Sure"

Julie linked arms with Mike as the two of them strolled out of the dungeon under escort of 4 of their servants, as for the other 4? They were raiding the dungeon or handling matters related to the family, Time passed like this with Mike and Julie going to the dungeon once a day to gradually train Julie's body back into combat shape, as for when the weren't in the dungeon the two of them kept to themselves, they had learnt not to trust anyone but each other and the servant's Mike had controlled.

Half a year later, Mike and Julie were once again in the dungeon, they had brought 4 escorts with them and were currently locked in a fight with group of greater lizardmen, the lizardmen were both armed and armored and took a serious beating before they finally died, Mike breathed out heavily before he commanded

"Collect the monster crystals"

"Pass the water will you dear?"

"Sure"

Mike finished taking a big swig of the waterskin he had brought before he handed it to Julie and watched as she also took a couple of big swigs, Julie caught him staring and gave a smirk

"What? See something you like?"

"...Yeah, but besides that… I think it's time"

"Time?"

"For me to level up"

"Ah… Well you have been on the experience limit for sometime… I also think I am getting close"

"I'm sorry I know I said that I would wait for you but…"

"Yeah I know Mike… I have the same nagging feeling too…"

The two of them fell silent for a bit before Julie asked

"So are you going to head to the academy?"

"Yeah after I level up… I am going to take Sarina, Elina, Rebecca and Snow with me"

The academy that Mike and Julie were talking about was the Thera magic academy, as in the name it thought magic and how to control mana, although the admission cost was steep they could afford it thanks to the goldmine that was the Tursk dungeon, it would not be a problem to enroll all the level 5's in their family there, at least not financially speaking

"Master we have finished collecting the monster crystals"

Mike gave a nod before he looked up at Elina that stood in full armor

"Well then… Let's make a trip to the temple"

"Yes master… Is it time?"

"Yeah"

Elian shuddered slightly before she kneeled down and spoke with great reverence

"It brings me great joy that you are growing stronger master!"

Mike gave a thin smile before he suddenly got his cheek pinched

"What?"

"You better not cheat on me while you are away"

"...Yes ma'am, I only have eyes for you ma'am"

"Geez…"

The group used a stone of passage and made their way to the first floor from the 39th, then they killed the boss there and made their way out of the dungeon, the group quickly made they way to the temple where Mike went in and got a prayer room, when he was inside he closed the door after himself and gave a deep sigh before a red light flashed in his eyes as he muttered

"Stronger… Finally"

Then Mike walked over and put a hand on the crystal ball that shone with a vilmion light for a few moments before it displayed his stats

Mike looked at his stats for a bit before he showed a smile and pressed the Y, then for the next few moments he felt himself grow immensely stronger before he let out a groan of pain as he felt a warm almost boiling current begging to circulate in his body, carving out a path through his body, it was like molten metal was suddenly purring around in his body forcefully digging out a path as it circulated around, then after what felt like forever it began to cool down to a comfortable temperature as it soothed his body, Mike gave a sigh as he relaxed his tense body

"Well… How about that?"

Mike could feel immense strength just by flexing his arm and the feeling of strength grew stronger the faster he circulated his mana, what Mike didn't know was that when he did both his eyes and horns began turning an eerie shade of red as he muttered

"Power… Unlimited POWER..! Well not quite yet… But still"

Mike was amused by his own joke and gave a smile before he reached out and touched the crystal ball again that displayed his new stats

"Well it's not the exterior that counts… That said, big money, big money…"

Mike touched the skill [Blood magic] and soon the information popped up

Mike was confused so he decided to try it out soon, after the crystal ball reset he walked out of the prayer room back out into the lobby when he did people took some distance from him as they watched with wary expressions, one of them muttered

"I know him… He's from Blood"

"That's the 9th level 5 now… Looks like Tursk has a new contender"

Mike showed a thin smile as he walked out of the temple, meanwhile scouts from other adventure families rushed to report the new level 5 that had emerged to their superiors, Mike however didn't care about that as he showed a carefree smile and gave Julie a hug, as he embraced her he muttered

"I am getting closer to fulfilling our revenge"

"I know… I am happy, wait a few months and I'll catch up"

"Sure… Can't wait"
