Mike, Daisy and Snow spent a few days at the former bandit camp getting Snow ready for the journey, this basically consisted of giving her some food and then having her exercise a little every day, then on the fourth day, the group of three left the bandit camp and continued south on foot…

Walking proved difficult for Snow and her battered body, it gradually became apparent to Mike that they were holding breaks rather often because Snow was lagging behind

'Looks like we need some sort of mount for snow, at least for the time being…'

Conveniently the group soon arrived at a city, as for the name? It went in one ear of Mike and out the other, he simply didn't care for it, the only thing he really cared for was skinning Hector alive

'Now where does one buy a horse..?'

As Mike and Daisy walked into the plaza of the city Snow once again lagged behind, just as Mike turned around waiting for her an arrogant voice sounded out in the plaza

"Shil! There you are, you disobedient slave!��

Snow trembled before she picked up the pace and quickly hid behind Mike that turned to the sound of the voice, a group of teenagers walked over, they were all clad in similar uniforms with red caps that looked to be made of silk, they had arrogant expressions on their faces like they were gods unable to be touched by mortal hands, one of them looked at Mike or rather at Snow that was hiding behind him and yelled

"Shil! Return to you master now!"

Mike gave a slight frown and spoke

"Her name is Snow, I think you got the wrong person"

Mike then took Snow by her hand and tried to walk off but quickly the same teenager yelled

"Stop right there!"

Mike paused slightly before he continued to walk, which caused the teenager to turn red with fury as he yelled

"Peasant! STOP THIS INSTANT!"

Mike's face twitched slightly before he turned around and yelled back

"How dare you call me a peasant! I AM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE PC MASTER RACE!"

The teenager flinched slightly before he quickly asked his companions if any of them knew of the house of the 'pc master race' Mike used this opportunity to slip into the crowd along with Snow leaving the plaza behind at a brisk pace before the three quickly found an inn and cheeked into a triple room, the three of them stayed in the room until the night fell, then Mike went out leaving the two servants with one command

"Sleep, I'll be back before sunrise"

Daisy and Snow both gave a nod and then Mike went out and disappeared into the night…

At a bar the group of teenagers from before sat gathered at a table, the one that had been fooled by Mike slammed a fist into the table before he yelled

"Damn peasant! How dare he fool me!"

"Relax John, we'll find and skin him tomorrow, then we'll take back that disloyal slave Shil and return to the academy"

The one called John gave a nod and calmed down a little before one of the others asked

"So what so special about that disloyal slave anyway?"

John would normally stay silent when this question was asked but the ale had made his mouth a little loose so he spoke

"She's been muted and has a mana disruption formation tattooed on her chest, yet she is still able to use her magic… My teacher is very interested in her because of this"

The table fell silent, John also knew that he had fucked up by speaking about this so he quickly changed the subject

"Anyway, let's just focus on finding that poser and skinning him alive, then we'll return to Threa soon"

"I see, so that's why you guys are after Snow"

"Wha---"

John turned around but was greeted with the knife that then passed right through his eye and further into his brain making his short life ended then and there, Mike moved like a ghost and when he was visible again he was outside the small bar as screams sounded out from the other patrons

"...[Drink]"

Mike disappeared off into the night again after discarding the tattered robe he had been wearing to hide his identity in an ally while ignoring his usual headache that came with using [Drink]…

When Mike returned to the inn in the middle of the night he found that Snow was still awake, her ice colored pupils lit up in the dark so Mike spotted her at once when he jumped back into the second floor room through the window that he had left open

"...Snow you're still up?"

Snow gave a small nod before she began writing on a piece of paper

-Where did you go master?-

Mike gave a smile and ruffled her hair as he answered

"I went to tie up some loose ends"

Snow looked at Mike for a bit before she wrote again

-Did you kill them?-

"Yeah"

Mike plainly admitted it, after all murder was nothing new to him, having worked as an assassin, he felt no guilt in taking lives anymore (Not that he was capable of feeling guilt anyway). Snow stared at him for sometime before she wrote on the paper again

-Thank you, master-

"No problem Snow… No problem at all, now get some rest… You too Daisy"

Mike saw the blanket were Daisy was hiding flinch slightly before she answered

"...Yes boss"

Mike then patted Snow on the head once more before he walked over to his bed and took off his leather armor before he laid down on the bed and closed his eyes…

"...Do you think he's awake?"

"..."

"Oh right, you're mute…"

Mike felt a finger poke him and slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was Snow's face, it was so close that their foreheads almost touched, he stared into her ice colored eyes for a bit before he showed a smile that turned into a yawn, Snow's pale face gradually turned red as her eyes slowly began spinning before she was grabbed by the shoulders and raised up by Daisy, only then did Mike notice that she was sitting on his lap, of course, there were her clothes, a blanket and his underwear in between but a soft feeling was still definitely present

"Erm… Snow could you get off?"

Snow gradually regained her cool before she then showed a resolute expression and gradually lowered her face down towards Mike but instead of kissing him like he kind of expected she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him close, Mike looked confused for a moment before he spotted the onlooker and asked

"So… What's this Daisy?"

Daisy gave a wide smile as she patted Mike on the head

"Turns out Snow is really sensitive to negative emotions, so she said or rather wrote that she could sense a lot of negative energy inside you, thus her plan to cheer you up"

"I see…"

Mike felt it made sense, she was after all a mage that could use magic at level 2, something he had never seen before

'Well if she had tried to overstep her bounds I would have killed her at once… But this is kind of pleasant… Reminds me of mom…'

Mike closed his eyes as he reminisced about his late mother for a moment before he opened his eyes and patted Snow on the back which made her break the hug and lean back a little before she stared into Mike's face for a bit, then she gave a nod and crawled off Mike, Mike sat up on the bed and turned before he flicked Daisy's ear

"Ouch! What was that for, boss?"

"Just felt like it"

Daisy covered her ears with her hands while looking a little resentful, Mike, however, ignored her and got out of bed and began putting on his leather armor as he did he felt a copple innocent starters and looked back and saw both Snow and Daisy was watching him with interest

"What?"

Snow shook her head and blushed while Daisy also blushed and asked in a tiny voice

"Boss… Do you have… a lover?"

Mike gave a nod

"Yeah, although she got enslaved at the same time as me so I don't know if she's alive"

Both Snow and Daisy fell silent before Daisy asked

"...You were enslaved boss?"

Mike stopped wearing his leather armor and turned around and showed his back, there were half a slave formation still tattooed over his heart where it had been burned into his skin from a poker that had been coated with a mana absorbing fluid, Snow covered her mouth while Daisy's eyes went cold, Mike turned back around with a cold look on his face and spoke

"That's why we walk south, to get my revenge"

Snow showed a resolute expression and so did Daisy before both of them kneeled down and Daisy spoke

"We will help you achieve your revenge boss"

A red light flashed in Mike's eyes as he showed a smile

"I am counting on you two"
