189 The Fighter Exam (2)

Lee Seng moved forward and faked two hits before hitting with a third hit. The third hit sent the bot flying into the wall, making a loud thud noise. Lee Seng moved out of the room and noticed two gunners and a ranged bot firing on him. Lee Seng jumped to the side, landing behind a desk as bullets and a loud spark noise flew past him.

'A lightning bot?' Lee Seng guessed. He listened as another electrical current flew and pierced the desk, flying past his ear. He could smell fur and hair burning as he quickly patted it out. Lee Seng moved onto his knees and grunted as he pushed the desk forward. He watched it fly towards the lightning bot. The bot quickly jumped to the side to dodge as the two gunners started to gun him down.

Lee Seng swiped at the air, blowing the bullets upwards and changed his body to light. He pushed forward and swung at the bots, quickly landing blows onto the bots. The punches were light like his gravity-affected body and he watched as the bots were becoming overpowered. He switched his body back to normal and landed two punches to each bot, sending them flying into the wall. The wall cracked as the bots' face lit up.

The sound of lightning charging made Lee Seng throw himself backwards into a flip. The lightning bolt flew past his tail and singed the wall and papers to his left. Lee Seng rushed the bot as it threw more lightning bolts at him. The bot was moving backwards into another room to extend its distance.

'These bots are really smart.' Lee Seng thought as his body became light. He felt himself dodging the lightning bolts like nothing and pushing onto the bot. A loud siren blared from the left side of the building. He continued to dodge the lightning bolts and tackled the bot. The two flew into a desk, bouncing off of it and creating more mess. Lee Seng lifted his arm, changing the gravity effects back to normal as he swung down. The bot shot a lightning bolt straight towards Lee Seng's face, forcing him to pull away from the bot.

"This one's crafty." Lee Seng smiled. He dashed forward and swung a punch at the bot as it sent out a lightning bolt. Lee Seng's fist flew straight through the bolt and landed the punch square in the arm. He ignored the pain as he swung a left hook. He continued to barrage the bot with attacks until it staggered.

Lee Seng threw a straight punch at the bot and watched as the body began to spark. Lightning flew in all directions, blowing Lee Seng backwards and breaking the metallic railing and falling another floor down.

"Ahh!" Lee Seng screamed as he landed with a loud thud. He could only smell a fishy smell. His body sparked as he tried to pull himself up. He continued to lay on the ground.

'Dammit, it paralyzed me.' Lee Seng listened as the bot looked over the edge with its two fingers lit in electricity. It pointed its two fingers at Lee Seng and made a gun motion. The electricity flew out of its hand as Lee Seng's paralyzation finally let up. He rolled to the left, listening to the ground where he was spark and fry.

'Oh shit that was a powerful one!' Lee Seng panicked. He pushed himself up and quickly ran underneath the second floor to avoid electrical bolts. His eyes quickly scanned around for anything he could use. He found the stairway to his left. It was a small opened door. His eyes eventually landed on a metal pipe. He moved over and grabbed it and made his way to the door.

Another siren blared.

He waited for the noise to die and closed his eyes. He could hear the crackling of the bot. It was slowly moving around.

'It moved away from the edge of the railing. It's moving over to the stairs.' Lee Seng  could feel the light pressure of the negative pressing against him. 'I'll have to use the trick now.'  The loud crackling of energy moved closer to the stairs. Lee Seng's body lit up in gold and white wisps. He whipped the corner, bouncing into the wall. The electric bot ran to the top of the stairs and sent a bolt of electricity downwards onto him. Lee Seng ducked down quickly and watched as the bolt slowly moved past him. He pushed up the stairs and overshot himself, quickly running into the bot.

'Normal weight, normal weight, normal weight!' His body slowly readjusted to his normal weight as the bot and him bounced from the wall and into the air behind them. They quickly fell down towards the stairs as Lee Seng spun and punched the bot. The gravity punch stabilized Lee Seng's air time and sent the bot crashing into the stairs. Lee Seng stumbled onto his feet on the stairway and let out a gasp for air.

'Never… again.' He continued to take deep breaths. The bot lit up, releasing a loud siren, followed by all of the lights turning on around him.

"Lane 1 has finished its course." His watch beeped. "Your time is 7 minutes, 45 seconds. Please return to the beginning of the course."

"Oh god…" Lee Seng gasped. "I should've practiced more in the lightened plus cloak state… I knocked out all the air in me, twice…" He stumbled down the stairs, almost tripping over the bot as he made his way down. He wandered out of the stairwell and turned right. A door had opened. As he was walking out, he heard the last siren go off. He steadied his breathing as he pushed over to the beginning of the course. The course was resetting itself as he moved back to the rest of the group. He released the White Fox Cloak and groaned.

'That bolt hit was stupid of me. I'll have to see a healer after the next exam.'

"Woah, he didn't do that bad, but his timing could've been better." Students murmured.

"I still don't know how he cleared those stairs in under a second. The camera caught him at the end as he swung at the bot." Another student spoke.

"But did you see lane 3? They cleared the fastest."

"Yeah, Rowdy's prepared!" A student told the group.

"Alright, alright. As the course is resetting, Group 2 will be going. Connors, Williams, Isaacson, and Edwards." Mr. Icarus clapped. Group 2 moved as Lee Seng hovered around Mr. Icarus, who was turning. "You can leave for your Glass exam. If you need to get a quick heal before you do so, there's some healers posted nearby before you leave."

"Mmm, I'll see you later, Mr. Icarus." Lee Seng waved. Mr. Icarus nodded and turned his attention to the group. Lee Seng moved out of the room and into the locker room. He punched the code for his locker and put his things into his bag and zipped it up. He closed the locker room and wandered out the hall where there were healers attending to some students. Lee Seng walked up and stood in the small line.

"I can help you." A male voice spoke. Lee Seng wandered over as the healer looked up. "Oh, it's you."

"Oh, hi." Lee Seng sat down beside the male healer as he turned to face him.

"Let's just get this over with. I really don't wanna be seen with you right now." The male healer spoke. He put his hands onto Lee Seng's chest and began the healing. Lee Seng tapped his foot as he waited for the healer to finish. Once he was finished, he watched the healer pull his hands back and scribble on the tablet. "Sign this." He pushed the tablet towards him. Lee Seng grabbed the tablet pen with his left hand and scribbled his signature. The healer snatched his things back after he was done and waved him off.

"I should file a complaint against my healer. He isn't hospitable." Lee Seng smiled.

"Hospitable? Not every healer has to act the same exact way. Get out of my sight if you're done. I don't have time for you." The healer spoke snarkily at Lee Seng. Lee Seng grinned as he stood up.

"Nice to see you, again. Hope that night didn't scare you too much."

"I see you're causing more trouble. I hope you lose your betting match."

"Bye." Lee Seng waved. He made his way down the hall as he heard whispering.

"Why're you so mean to him? He just needed healing." The female healer asked, sitting beside him.

"He's annoying." The male healer told her.

"Did you heal him before?" The girl asked. "You know it's our job. I don't care if you believe in the rumors or not, but you gotta be nice or else nobody wants you to heal them."

"It's only him."

Lee Seng shook his head as he turned the hall. He quickly found his way over to the Glass Specialization gym he would be in and moved into the locker room and put his things away into the locker.

'Thankfully, you can redo the code… I don't have to remember a billion codes.' Lee Seng stuffed his things into the locker and closed it. He wandered back out of the locker room and into the Glass gym.
