Answer Me, My Prince

(Annual participation 1/9)

#12

Dear my prince.

I don't know if my story will be as interesting as you waited. In fact, my daily life is not as dynamic as what's happening in the Kingdom of Windsorton.

I wondered what it meant to tell you about my love story for a while, but I'll chat a lot, leaning on your kindness that always calls me "my friend."

Yesterday was a day when so many things happened, and I have to tell Prince Archie this whole time. I was just thinking about doing it.

It was supposed to be a day off. It was raining and I was waiting for your letter and thinking about going out to the photo bell in the evening.

But someone knocked on my door from the morning. When I opened the door, my face standing was somewhat familiar.

I saw him somewhere, who was he, the client's employee? Was that the local bookstore in East London you just stopped by? I thought about everything and said hello first.

"Hello."

"Yes, hello, Cordelia."

He greeted me with an awkward smile. As soon as I heard the American accent, I remembered who he was.

"Mark Laughlin!"

"Yes, that's my name."

The Prince may not know, but he's a huge celebrity here.

His father, Richard Laughlin, is an ancient book collector who is famous for his nationality. How did an ancient book collector become a celebrity? Ten years ago, the BBC launched a program to evaluate old books hidden on one side of the bookshelf from door to door. Richard Laughlin was the main panel of the show. Everyone went out to him with an old book in the corner of my room.

It was his proud son Mark who saved a program that was so old that it almost became president. He looks like his father and has big nose and deep black eyes, and although he can't be considered very handsome, he has some attractive charm. As he began to come out with his father, the TV program "Roplin's books" became popular again.

I didn't know why such a celebrity was at my door. He opened his mouth first because I was staring at him with my mouth open.

"Maryn says you have something quite impressive.”

It was then that I realized. Mary Ann told me about Sotheby's. I'll call someone I know first. I know someone who'll be interested in this stuff, who'll pay a much better price than Sotheby's.

I didn't know it was Mark Laughlin.

Mark almost begged me to show him the book. When I brought the book out of the bookshelf, he looked like he was going to be shocked. He asked me what my mental state is of keeping it in the bookshelf. He put on white gloves and carefully smoothed the book. It was a bit perverse, but it was sexy.

"I'll provide you with a storage box today."

"What are you talking about?”

"You can just leave it here. It's like a little safe. I can't stand keeping things like this."

"I won't sell it to you anyway.”

"No, you'll sell it."

I don't know where the confidence came from, but it wasn't that bad.

He told me he wanted to buy me lunch, and I was just a little hungry, so I went to his house with him. We had a quick chat over a simple meal.

I didn't mean to talk to a celebrity, but he was quite an interesting person. I asked Mark.

"Do you really not read books?"

My father Richard always told Mark in the program. He only likes the appearance of a book, and he collects it regardless of its contents.

"I read it, of course. I usually read it under my father's pressure, and I prefer living to reading it.”

"Do you usually collect these books?"

"I collect anything beautiful."

"Do you like books because they are beautiful?”

"I'm not as good as my father, and I'm not as fond of books as you are. Hurry up and ask me my favorite book."

"What's your favorite book?"

"King Lear."

King Lear is a famous work of Shakespeare who wrote Macbeth that I gave to the prince. The main character of the novel is Cordelia. I don't really like jokes about my name. Everyone makes jokes as if they're creative. I've heard it thousands of times in my life, so I'm really tired of it. But this joke had a good timing. It was pretty witty.

"You've met your master very well."

He grinned when I responded like this.

"Yes, Cordelia, of course you'd like Shakespeare. You don't think you're an enemy, do you?

"No way, but I prefer comedy to tragedy like King Lear. You can do whatever you want."

"Well, I'm a thoroughly tragic. I've never seen anything that's not sad and beautiful.”

Did you hear that, Prince? I've never seen anything that's not sad and beautiful. Isn't that a wonderful word?

Since then, we've talked about a lot of fun stories. I've heard a lot of stories about Mark and his beautiful books.

He's a pretty good talker. I've never seen a man who talks more than I do. I was going to tell you that my mom used to run an ancient book collection store, but she didn't even have a chance to say that.

But Mark is definitely a good person. I had lunch less than five minutes away from my house, but he said he'd take me to my house.

I said I wouldn't sell books if I did that, but Mark asked me to take care of them, whether I sell them or not, and I asked him to meet me again. If you give me a chance to take a look at the book, that's fine.

I could have done it now, but I pretended to be arrogant and nodded slightly. As you know, since you've learned C.E. for a month, you need some push-and-pull skills in your life, right?

The rain stopped on the way back. We did that last time. I think I'll fall in love with anyone in this weather. Yeah, that's exactly the weather. Walking in Russell Square with a celebrity I only saw on TV on that day, I felt like I was the main character in the novel.

When he got to the front of the house, Mark opened the door like a gentleman and didn't follow him to the second floor. I was about to go up the stairs, but I suddenly remembered leaving my umbrella at the store. So I quickly turned around to go out again. Oh, I shouldn't have...

As soon as he turned around, he misunderstood something. He tried to kiss me right away. I didn't know until his face was close, but I was so surprised that I realized what this was after my lips bumped. So I screamed.

"What are you doing?”

"Oh, I'm sorry you're coming back. Cordelia."

"No, it was a mistake."

I think he apologized ten times because he was sorry. Actually, the atmosphere before that wasn't too bad to kiss...Was it the atmosphere? I don't know. Do you usually have lunch and kiss at the first meeting? It's not even dinner!

Anyway, I think I shouldn't have turned around then. Then there wouldn't have been anything that Mark would have misunderstood or embarrassed about. When I got home, I buried my face in my pillow and screamed for a moment. But maybe Mark was more embarrassed than I was.

I consoled myself with that thought and appreciated that I had the next schedule so that I wouldn't think about it all day.

It was around 4 p.m. when we left for the photobello. Standing in front of an unprecedentedly clear green signboard antique shop, perhaps because the rain washed away all the dust, I remembered what I had gone through last week.

I'm sure Linda and Patrick did. The store is closed every Wednesday. But unlike Linda, the lights were on and the doors were wide open just like last week. And there was a beautiful guy like a mirage, Liam.

I asked Liam what and how he did it. It's great to be able to write to you like this, but I've been wondering about it for a week. Liam smiled and shook his head as if he had noticed that my question had no hostility.

"I can't tell you."

That face...

Oh, I can't even describe it.

I almost said, "Oh, if you can't tell me, you shouldn't." That kind of appearance is in the world.

Prince, with all due respect, no matter how beautiful you are, you won't be able to fall for Liam. Even though golden hair was not a speck of sunshine at 7 p.m., the forehead that came down with a bright and delicate line, as if it were emitting light on its own, led to a sharp nose. I was so fascinated by the line that my pale blue eyes were staring at me.

"Cordelia?"

"What?"

"...are you all right?"

With a worried look on his face, the whole room seemed to be getting dark. When I shook my head quickly, the fairy kindly suggested to me.

"Would you like a cup of tea?”

He looks like a forest fairy, but he's offering a car, and he's obviously British. It's not fair to say this, but it was really beautiful when you took out tea leaves and put them in a tea pot to boil water with your elegant hand movements.

It was raining outside the window, and the room was moderately cool, so it was perfect for a cup of warm tea. After I accepted the tea cup, which I was looking at in a rapturous way, I finally recalled my original purpose and asked.

"Did Anne Celine make you hand over this manuscript?"

"Maybe."

He smiled wickedly to hurt my eyes again. I asked with my eyes covered.

"Are you the author Anne Celine?"

"Well, a long time ago, I heard you were quite good at writing."

"Tell me exactly, Liam. Did you write that book?”

Wow, did you see that, Archy? I asked the handsome guy this straight. But he wasn't afraid, he smiled and shook his head.

"No."

"Well, have you ever met Anne Celine?”

"Of course."

"...I respect the writer's privacy, so I won't ask more about it."

"Good posture, Cordelia. If you ask me that green eye, I want to answer anything.”

Does the prince do the same?

Why are good-looking men flirting so unconscious?

There are so many words that can make a woman's heart flutter.

I put my hand on my burning face and hit him.

"Shall we just ask?"

"It'll hurt my heart because it's an unanswerable question."

Oh, yeah. I hope you don't feel bad.

Did I say Cesarean or Wheat? Strangely, I was so strong and arrogant in front of Mark that I just broke down in front of Liam. I went back to my friendly tone and asked.

"Actually, I was here last Thursday. Linda said this store is closed on Wednesday.”

"That's why I can be here.”

"She doesn't know you."

"Because I didn't tell you."

"Are you taking over illegally?”

"Then are you going to report it?”

That's what I say and laugh about, but if you look like this, I thought I'd tell you why you killed him. But I kept my mind together and asked again, as he did in front of Cecil.

"Are you a face-to-face criminal?"

Liam laughed again.

"I take it as a compliment.”

"I don't understand.

"Something that I don't understand happens, Cordelia. You like things like that, too.”

"How did you know?"

"I thought so, so I pretended to know. I'm glad you got it right."

I felt like I was doing a preliminary questions. Then someone called my name behind my back."

"Cordelia!"

"Garrett?"

Garrett was the main character of the voice that came to me in a split voice like a motherless goat. He's an employee of our publishing company who sits next to me, and he came in a month ahead of me and tries to interfere with everything from being my mentor.

"The paper is out."

Liam went to the entrance and picked up the fallen bell. How elegant that gesture is! We didn't even notice until Garrett came so close because there was no paper. Garrett asked me in a trembling voice.

"The illegal occupation?" What... what did you say?Uh? Cordelia? Tell me!"

It's so embarrassing that you're yelling at me like you're becoming something of mine.

I didn't want to explain anything to Garrett. First of all, I couldn't even figure out what happened in English right now.

"He's playing with you, isn't he?”

"It's not like that."

"That's what you were talking about. This store isn't open today? The shopkeeper said he didn't know him? Cordelia, what the hell are you doing here?"

"Garrett Clifford, why are you here? Go away—I'll finish talking and go.

"I told you I was coming with you.”

"I said no."

"Come here."

Garrett grabbed my purse and dragged me. But my head got stuck there.

Even though I was screaming, Garrett dragged me around. When Liam saw it, he came to release it, and Garrett suddenly threw away his handbag and ran to Liam like a madman.

Thanks to you, I was free, but Liam was about to be beaten. Garrett isn't that tall, but he's quite big. I closed my eyes tightly.

But I heard the sound of "Ahhhahhhhhhhhhhhh. When I opened my eyes, Garrett was caught by Liam. With his arms behind him, he fluttering.

Liam was tall and had quite broad shoulders, but overall she was slim and sleek, rather than heavy.

But Liam looked a little different when he overpowered the strong garret at once.

I was attracted to her beautiful face, but I thought she was more like a soft and gentle womanizer than a manly charm. Prince, just like you.

Anyway, Liam overpowered Garrett and whispered something in his ear. I don't know what he meant, but Garrett was surprised and took himself off. I didn't hit or bend my body any more. I just held it for a while, and I let it go. It's like catching a butterfly with your hand and sending it away.

I've never seen anyone subdued or let go of someone else's body so nonviolently. Garrett hesitated, threw me something like a goodbye or something and ran away. I didn't know how things were going.

I looked at Liam. Liam looked at me. Liam asked me.

"Shall we walk together?"

"Are you going to do this to me like Garrett?”

Liam said with a straight face, not a smile.

"I won't touch any of your fingertips."

You can touch the fingertips.

I swallowed the words... and nodded.

Liam was a trespasser, turned off the lights well, cracked down on the shop door with the key, and took me to the streets with a photo bell. I opened my mouth again.

"At first I thought you had some kind of device in the box. And I thought it was an illegal entry into my house."

"Do you still think so?"

"No, but seeing the illegal entry into the store makes me suddenly suspicious again."

Liam laughed again.

"If you laugh like that, it'll all go away.”

"It's not that bad."

"Now I wonder if you're a wizard from another world. Isn't that the magic and charm?”

"I take that as a compliment that I'm very attractive.”

"That's right. That was a compliment. “

"Cordelia, you're quite attractive, too."

"I didn't mean to hear that."

"I know. Do you come here often?"

Wow, he was also a player in horse-riding. And I chatted about Notting Hill and Photo Bello for about 5 minutes. After a long time, I was able to come back to the point and ask,

"Maybe you're a handsome servant hired by Anne Celine.”

"It's a fresh idea to think so."

Once again, we arrived at Notting Hill Side during a pre-question-and-answer conversation.

"I have to take the Central Line from here. Are you going to follow me home?”

"It's late at night, so I'll take you home.”

He speaks gracefully like a prince. If Garrett had said that, the sun had not set yet and I would have said I knew the way home alone. But I wanted to be with him a little longer.

We rode a tube to the Central Line. The tube is a long car that goes underground, but it's fast, but it's very humid, dirty, and stuffy inside. Since it rained today, the smell of the usual stale fungus and the smell of rubbing is added.

As always, I stood by the window without sitting down, and Liam stood across from me and looked at me. Suddenly, green leaves bloomed in a gray tube. 1, 2, 3.

Archie, have you ever done that?

I was walking with someone, and there was a flower blooming on the road.

It's the first feeling I felt while walking with my first love when I was 17. But the road was really a flower path.

It's the first time I've had this feeling in a gray tube in London.

I was trapped in an underground gray box with no windows open, and suddenly a gentle breeze came in.

I pretended to stare at the dark window and saw him with a sidelong glance.

Every time I turned my eyes, he was looking at me.

Well, he didn't even turn his eyes!

What's wrong with him, really.

Why are handsome people so brazen?

Soon there was a broadcast called Russell Square Station and I said.

"I have to change. There's only a few more miles left until Holborn. Or..."

"Or we could walk."

"What do you want to do, Liam?"

"Cordelia, you just love to walk.”

"How did you know?"

"They always said they'd walk more if they were with me.”

Liam said that and laughed because I thought it was funny. Of course, he's so handsome that he doesn't know he's so good-looking.

"Women? Were there many women?"

"Everyone thinks so, but I'm not good at dating.”

"So am I! I'm not good at dating either! Huh? What's that look on your face? You were going to say that you knew it, weren't you? That's rude."

"...Cordelia, I didn't say anything.

Yes, I was excited and chatted as much as I could in the fountain, and Liam was kind enough to accept all my tricks.

It was a pity that it only took 10 minutes to get home. I didn't say much, but every moment was fun.

It wasn't just because he was handsome. It was comfortable to be with Liam. Like talking to an old friend.

Can you believe that?

Being with such a handsome person makes me feel comfortable.

On the way from Russell Square to Holborn, there were tall and small old buildings spread out on both sides of our way, as if they were trees. There were a lot of people, but strangely enough, there were only two of them.

After the rain stopped, the weather got cooler and it felt a little cold. As soon as I shook my body a little, Liam took off my coat.

When I got closer to home, I thought that the original purpose was to write the manuscript, so I quickly handed it to him and tried to open the envelope to check it, but he stopped me.

"Why, can't we look?"

"See you later."

"Why shouldn't I see it now?"

"You'll get a letter. I don't want that letter to be boring."

"If I read the manuscript first, does the letter get boring?"

"I suppose so. It's all the same."

"How do you know that?"

"What do you think I don't know?”

"Yes, Liam. What do you not know?”

"How to explain to you what I know.”

"What an enigma you are."

He laughed. Prince, in fact, I don't really like this kind of people. People who speak as if they've hidden something, who leave a lingering impression and try to give them a clear ring.

I just like 'boy' more than that. A boy who knows how to smile, sweats, runs really fast, and shakes hands. But Liam... Please, don't say that he just fell for his handsome face.

Liam didn't seem to be trying to hide anything from me on purpose.

So I didn't feel bad at all even after a series of questions and answers.

"Shall I guess?”

"What?"

"You're the magician's coward."

"Are you a little bit.

"Yes, I came here with her. So I'm playing the role of a coward in the sorcerer Anne Selene, and I can't tell me anymore because it takes a lot of conditions."

"And."

"And he's incredibly handsome."

Liam burst into laughter.

"That's right. I almost got it right. I'll give you more points on how handsome you are."

"Really? I mean, I got the first part right. ”

"Yeah. Well, a little. Cordelia, I wish I could tell you more next time.”

"Well, is there another one?”

Am I being too mean? But I couldn't help but ask.

"Yes, if you let me, I'll be there forever. Well, go home. Cordelia."

"Good-bye. Liam."

A cold wind passed between him and me. It feels like the tip of my hand is touching.

I thought, oh, I really don't touch a fingertip as I promised. I was expecting to kiss on the cheek to say goodbye. Liam just waved till the end.

Thinking about what happened with Mark made me feel strange. If Liam had, would I have just kissed her? No, Liam will never do that. That's why I'm thinking like this.

I shook my head, shook my head, went upstairs, and quickly opened the window. Maybe I heard him open the window, but Liam looked up at me.

"Good-bye, Liam."

"Good night, Cordelia."

Then he turned his back and started walking out. I called Liam, and I called him quietly. I suddenly remembered something I couldn't ask. Liam looked back.

"What's your favorite Shakespeare?”

"It's ten."

"You're not King Lear?"

He laughed when he realized that my name was a joke because it came from Cordelia, the protagonist of King Lear.

"I like a happy ending.”

I remembered what Mark said earlier.

Nothing is beautiful and not sad.

I think that's a better word...….

Liam asked me that when I thought.

"Cordelia, you should teach. What's your favorite Shakespeare?"

I answered with a smile.

'Do as you please.'

Liam laughed without saying a word.

Oh, my prince, that smile was full of everything.

In addition to the slyness that any woman would fall in love with, the boy's innocence.

Liam would rather say, 'You shouldn't say that. What if I really did what I wanted to do?' It would have been a little gross, but he caught me right away with a smile.

My face was burning like a person who got numb for nothing. I could see my red face on the street lamp, but he just said this without saying much.

"I'd like to do as I please, but I'm leaving for today.”

It was me who called him back again this time.

"Liam!"

"Yes, Cordelia."

"Why did you take me home? You didn't tell me anything anyway."

Can you guess what he said, Archy?

Liam said like this.

"I just wanted to walk with you.”

..like all the women who wanted to walk with him.

He wanted to walk with me.

Fortunately, my heart is still safe.

But how do you cut a letter into two?

It's all because Cordelia talks too much.
