Chapter 2.2 - In the Classroom

Chapter 2.2: In the Classroom

It caused Lan Fei to feel a sense of superiority. An arrogant smug formed on his lips and arrogantly pointed his finger to Qin Ruxue. “Even if you are a princess, with my talent, the king won’t blame me for bullying you!”

A volcanic rage erupted. Qin Ruxue was angry that her face turned red. She was immediately held back by Chen Zhen and Han Bai, both of whom were Yunxiao’s trump cards.

“Princess, we’re weaker now. We shouldn’t have any conflicts with them.”

The sixty or so students in the class were all descendants of influential and loyal officials of the nation’s kingdom. They were also divided according to the factions within the imperial two, and so, in the class, they were naturally divided into two factions: one a group of the civil servants’ sons led by Lan Fei and Shangguan Qing while the other, a group of the martial generals’ sons led by Yunxiao and Han Bai.

As for the princess, she had always disliked Lan Fei and his pack’s arrogance and domineering attitude thus she tacitly stood on the side of Yunxiao and the others.

While the classroom was noisy and rowdy, Yunxiao walked the streets of Sky Water Nation.

After his memories awakened, his soul force slowly recovered. The first benefit was the strength of his divine sense and he quickly began examining his body carefully.

“This body is rather troublesome. No wonder the previous youth was called a wastrel trash. Many of the invisible meridians within the great circulatory cycle has dried up and were unable to gather any strength. Naturally, this body could not open its meridians. Seems like I’ll have to fix this body first, otherwise, there’s no hope of regaining my strength in the short term.”

He raised his head and looked at the faintly discernible building tower before him and strode forward.

“This is the capital of Sky Water Nationa. I remember Yang Di is from this place. I’m not sure if he’s in the Arcane Master Association, but if I can find him, everything will be alright.”

The Arcane Master Association was an existence that spread throughout the entire continent. No matter where he went, Yunxiao enjoyed the most revered status.

The Spellcaster’s Tower was certainly the tallest building in the area.

He raised his head and looked at the Arcane Master Association. Even though the arcane pagoda before him was far inferior to the one he used to stay in before, it nevertheless gave him an extremely intimate feeling.

In front of the tower, there was an old stone tablet with a few words engraved on it: “Arcane Master Association”, “Sky Water Nation Branch”, “Heaven Martial Calendar Year 1001”, “Yang Di”.

“This stone tablet was rebuilt in the year 1001 using the Heaven Martial Calendar? Year 1001? Right, it seems that this year Yang Di advanced to become a third rank Arcane Master and became the Guild Master of Sky Water Nation Branch. I wonder if he’s still around.”

Though Yunxiao lived in the Sky Water Nation for fifteen years, a person like the Guild Master of Arcane Master Association wasn’t someone he could come into contact with. The highest level Arcane Master he knew of was called Liang Wenyu.

There were no guards outside of the tower because none dare cause trouble here. Moreover, the hidden power inside the tower was enough to make the quiet Arcane Master’s Association one of the safest places in Sky Water Nation.

Yunxiao easily pushed open the door and walked in. The spacious hall inside was much wider than it looked from the outside. The murmuring crowd seemed to have suddenly turned from the bustling market to the serene countryside.

“Welcome to Arcane Master’s Association!” A melodious voice rang and soon, the scene before them blurred. The fashionably dressed beauty, Lu Yao, revealed a sweet alluring smile. “Is there anything I can help you with, dear little mister?”

She was a front desk personage, one that received the guests specifically from every branch of the Arcane Master’s Association. He recalled the time he’d enter the association. Each time, the front desk personage respectfully lowered their heads to welcome him. He hadn’t seen such a casual and gentle appearance for many years.

Yunxiao smiled lightly. “Little mister?”

Lu Yao smiled sweetly. “You’re the youngest mister I’ve ever received. May I ask if there’s anything I can help you with?”

Her smiling face bloomed like a flower, but deep in her heart, she secretly paid attention to him.

Those who came to the tower for the first usually donned a look of nervousness and excitement, especially children. They were especially careful with their words as they let the adults go about their business while they quietly watched from the sidelines. The youth’s eyes swept over the entire hall soon as he entered too. He was indifferent and wore a leisure expression.

This was a composure only something only the big and powerful wore.
