Alien Knights

Chapter 640 Love and Hate

When Dion left the garden, the sun was setting and the sunset glow was like blood.

Todd looked up at the sky. A large thick dark cloud was slowly drifting from the sea, with a hint of thunder.

The afterglow of the setting sun was quickly overwhelmed by dark clouds, and the warm air soon became only cold.

In just a breath, heavy raindrops poured into the entire city. Looking from a distance, all the scenery was no longer clear. Everything in front of you seemed to be covered by gauze curtains, and the sky was gray.

Listening to the hustle and bustle of the city gradually being covered by the sound of rain, Todd sat on a bench and let the rain pour on his body, flowing along his body and forming a stream under his feet, but he did not move at all.

I don't know how long it took, but a huge cloak was unfolded and blocked the top of Todd's head.

Deirdre and two maids hurriedly came to Todd's side and carefully opened her cloak to protect him from the wind and rain.

Looking at Todd's face covered with rain, Deirdre knelt down distressedly, wiped the rain stains on his face with a dry towel, and said softly: "Your Majesty, go back..."

Todd lowered his head, looked at the water splashing on the ground, and said softly: "No one knows when the rain will stop."

Deirdre smiled and said, "But we still have a home. There are stoves, deck chairs, and hot soup there. No matter how heavy the rain is, the rain will stop when we are at home."

Todd turned to look at Deirdre, smiled to himself, then stood up, put one arm around the latter's waist, and slowly walked towards the royal city.

Late that night, Deirdre, flushed and dripping with sweat, struggled to get up from the bed while gasping for air, trying to prepare toiletries.

Todd gently pressed Deirdre's shoulders and pulled the quilt, covering her skin as smooth as silk and as white as milk.

Glancing at Todd, who didn't feel tired at all, Deirdre lowered her head and said inaudibly: "If you need it, I can have someone send a message to Evie or other women..."

Todd hugged Deirdre and whispered, "That's not necessary. Let's talk for a while."

The latter responded softly, but there was joy that could not be hidden in his eyebrows.

"How's Aurora doing?"

Deirdre first adjusted her position in Todd's arms, and then said: "Everything... is fine. She has grown up little by little. Although she always told me that she wanted to be with you, she didn't dare to deal with it when you I’m going to bother you when you’re on official business.”

Todd nodded slightly: "She has always been a good child."

Deirdre said with a slightly worried tone: "But I found that recently she secretly transformed into a dragon and flew towards the northern sea, and the Valkyrie responsible for guarding her was always thrown away. When she comes back , but refused to tell me where I went."

Todd thought.

Ever since Aurora visited the Kingdom of Shadows on the Island of Shadows, she seemed to be particularly interested in it and would always visit it every now and then.

However, this may not be a bad thing.

Thinking of this, Todd gently patted Deirdre's smooth back: "Let her be."

"But……"

"I'll say hello to the people in the north and they'll take good care of her."

Deirdre stopped persuading after hearing Todd's firm tone.

"Did you know? Muxi University plans to set up a new juvenile college to recruit children who have extraordinary talents in a single subject." Deirdre said with a smile: "The university hopes to hire me as a guest Professor, specializes in training children with soul abilities."

Todd nodded and praised: "In the entire kingdom, you are the only one who has the ability to summon spirits. If you can find someone with similar abilities, it will be a good thing for the entire country."

Deirdre said with longing, "You know? I always feel a sense of regret when I see those children."

"Pity?"

Pressing Todd's hand on her belly without a trace of fat, Deirdre said quietly: "I've been thinking, why haven't we welcomed our second child yet?"

Todd paused for a moment.

Deirdre leaned as much as possible into Todd's arms: "I hope to be pregnant with a boy."

Todd frowned and asked: "Aurora is a very good child, why do you still have such thoughts?"

"Aurora longs for freedom and adventure. She is not interested in any affairs of the kingdom." Deirdre's words sounded full of helplessness and sadness: "She has told me more than once that her biggest dream for the future is, It’s about traveling to every corner of the world and exploring the secrets that have yet to be discovered.”

Todd was a little confused: "What's wrong with this?"

Deirdre said: "I told her that being a qualified princess and making her father proud of her is what she should strive for."

Todd realized something and asked directly: "Deirdre, what exactly do you want to say?"

Deirdre turned around, put her arms around Todd's neck, and slowly moved her delicate and beautiful face closer, as if she was afraid that the other person would disappear.

"You are my husband, my everything. If you leave me, there will be no point in my body and soul continuing to exist."

Todd stared into Deirdre's eyes: "Who told you what?"

"You come from the kingdom of gods and do not belong to this world. Sooner or later, you must make a choice, leave or stay."

Deirdre rested her head on Todd's chest: "I know that any language of request is pale, and it is even more selfish to use myself to force you to stay. I just beg you, before you make a decision, Please think of Aurora first, she cannot live without her father."

Todd had a headache: "Deirdre, we have discussed this topic before, and I have never said anything like a decision to leave."

Deirdre's voice suddenly became deeper: "But that woman, she has been egging you on."

"That woman?"

Deirdre said the name word for word: "Rui-Cheer."

This voice contained resentment, anger, and even hidden hatred. When Todd heard it, the corners of his eyes twitched unconsciously.

"I will not leave this kingdom. This is not only my affection for you and Aurora, but also my responsibility as a king."

Todd hugged Deirdre and said in her ear: "Stop thinking about it and go to sleep."

Deirdre was silent for a moment and nodded to show her submission.

Not long after, Todd saw Deirdre closing her eyes and leaning against him, so he gently placed her on the bed and covered her with the quilt.

He found casual clothes from the closet. The neatly dressed Todd looked back at Deirdre's flawless sleeping face, stood there in a daze for a moment, and finally blew out the candles and walked out of the room.

Just as the door was closed, the "sleeping" woman suddenly opened her eyes.

Staring at the closed door, Deirdre clutched the sheets with her hands, tears welling up in her eyes.
