A Failure's hopeful Journey

Two days passed since You Xi Wang had made arrangements with the dwarven elder. He has been sitting inside his room for these three days. He had a moment of epiphany when Yuki told him that he was worrying a little too much about everything on the path of cultivation by taking on the burden on his shoulders. 

He understood a few things after this and the bounding chains in his brain shattered. He had begun to look past the family and all. His thought process was simple, he would become strong so that his family and friends could have a peaceful life if he was to ascend. The system has been silent for a long time and it did not affect him. 

He opened his eyes to look at the room he and Yuki were not by his side anymore. He raised his left hand to check the time and was not surprised when he found that it has been three days since he has fallen into a meditative state. He stood up and leisurely stretched his body. He opened the door and found Maya guarding it. 

The furry beast has been hiding in his shadows since they came here, Except for guarding Celestia and Lily she was not asked to do much but when You Xi Wang was immersed in cultivation, she took it upon her to watch over his security. 

The boy patted her soft forehead gently and said, "You can rest now." 

Maya replied to him with her spiritual thought and said, "Brother Wang, Sister Yuki said, they will be waiting for you outside in the meeting hall for our people. They want to discuss the departure to the Dwarf nation." 

You Xi Wang nodded and the furry beast vanished inside his shadow. He made his way to the meeting hall they have prepared between the two barracks. On the way he was greeted by a few rookies, all saluted him. The boy replied with a smile and nod. 

Inside the meeting hall. Gena, Neo, Allan, Fenny, Yuki, You Zhichi, and the two little fairies were waiting for him. Allan said, "You broke through your mental binds?" 

You Xi Wang asked, "Is it that obvious?" 

The rest nodded. Celestia said, "Your aura has become more converged but it is not easy to sense for us. The reason we were able to know that you have woken up was that Maya told Shadow. We did not detect your arrival."

You Xi Wang nodded. The spirit sense worked on intercepting waves emitted by other spirit senses of the people. However, the calmer and peaceful the spirit sea was the negligible the emittance caused. His undone entanglement had made him reach a new level of spiritual sensitivity. He said, "You all glorify me, and then you say I fly without wings." 

They all rolled their eyes at him. Gena said, "We need you to check the list of supplies we have made for the journey to the dwarven nation." 

You Xi Wang nodded and asked, "All right."

Including the five phantoms and You Zhichi and her team, they had forty-five other rookies ready to go with them. The rest were to stay here and practice. Celestia and Lily were arranged to stay with Ilex and she was assigned a few female elven guards to look after the two little ones. 

The two girls had the identity of You Xi Wang's little disciples and family members. You Zhichi had told Ilex in a very warm and gentle manner that if the girls were to suffer any harm, then she might not be able to help her, and You Xi Wang may level the place in his rage. 

Ilex was pacified and compelled to assign guards from the depths of her heart. At first, the guards were reluctant but after a few hours when they got to know how funny and loveable the girls were they were smitten by them. 

You Xi Wang said, "You guy have done all that you could also what do you mean by spirit weapons?' 

Fenny and the two little ones started laughing and it was as if they have been praised. Yuki and Gena shook their heads, while Neo said, "These two girls and Fenny developed a rune engravement system. It is like a changeable array that can provide you with different boosts depending on different situations. Suppose your war boots need a speed boost so you can turn the regulator and the mini-array on the boots will change, in return, you will get the boost by a lightweight rune."

You Xi Wang was surprised, he immediately asked them to show him how the thing worked and it was shown to him with glee on their faces.

In the center of the dull meeting room was a big table. There were no chairs in the place because they will be using this place for military meetings. Fenny said, "Baby Wang, use it and tell me what do you think?" 

You Xi Wang took the weapon in his hand from the table. An exquisite blade it was, however, a circular regulator was attached to the handle of the sword. He tried to channel his spirit energy inside the sword and frowned slightly. After a few minutes, he turned the regulator and stopped. Then he said, "This is not applicable practically. In the battles, people will have no time to tweak the regulator. So you need to change this." 

The three people did not feel disappointed but nodded. They had taken this thing into account when they were making this prototype. Now You Xi Wang just confirmed his facts. Fenny asked, "Say, what can be the solution?" 

This question made the cogs and gears inside You Xi Wang's head started to turn at high speed. After a few minutes of contemplation, he said, "We can use spirit channels." 

Lily asked, "Spirit Channels?" 

You Xi Wang nodded and said, "Do you know about the spirit channels used an array itself?" 

Celestia replied, "The spirit stones connected in a line form spirit channels, and they form an array." 

"Smart girl. We can use specific channels and engrave multiple runes on the blade and the weapons. The user can channel his spirit energy inside the jades and activate the runes by spirit channels." said You Xi Wang. 

His suggestion made everyone be stumped. The three girls were energized. The two little girls kissed him on the cheeks and ran away. They had just taken a few steps before they stopped and came back to him and they said, "Give us your weapons." 

You Xi Wang knew what they were going to do so he gave up his weapons to the two of them. He said, "Be careful and do not run your spirit through these. They are spiritual. Okay?" 

His weapon spirits were also instructed by him to not do anything to the people when they augment them. He gave a look to Fenny and said, "Bro, be careful, please." 

Fenny was aware of what the risks were with handling the spiritual weapons and assured him about it. She left the meeting room with the two girls. You Xi Wang also had to go out and check the schedule with the dwarven elder. He wanted to set off for the tunnels as soon as possible.
