A Failure's hopeful Journey

You Xi Wang fell silent when he heard the name. He asked the system, 'What kind of codename is this?"

You Xi Wang nodded, 'Okay, you watch over her situation while I will dabble in the records of the forces sent to the lost sector to see if something can be discovered.'

You Xi Wang called Maddison via internal comms, "Teacher, I need your help."

Maddison had not left the place. She was worried about this bunch of monster children. She asked, "What do you need?"

The boy replied, "Can we access the records of the past era to see the details of the personnel posted in the lost sector in the past?"

Commander Midnight frowned and said, "Only Elder Victoria has the access to that. Do you need it urgently? I can use the emergency access but if I don't have a reason, then it will be a big mess you know. I am only stating the rules to you." she indeed had to tell him the gravity of using special provisions. 

You Xi Wang was also not sure whether they can find out anything in the records or not. The reason was that he did not know where to look. This place had a mortality rate of 91 percent back then. You can imagine the number of people they have lost here. This was the actual terror of dark forces. 

The boy said, "Let us wait then." he turned his face to the squad. The soldiers were all alert. He scanned a bit and found Yuki among them. The suit was designed in such a way that mental contact cannot be established. This was to prevent any opposing forces to launch a soul attack against them. 

He spoke to Maya, "Can you find out how Yuki is doing?"

Maya was sitting by his side at this moment she replied, "Why not just call her over here?" You Xi Wang sighed and said, "Okay go call her over."

The boy wanted to avoid been seen by the squad as a partial person, but now he did not care and let go of the restraint in his heart. Maya gracefully walked over to Yuki and rubbed her head against her leg. Yuki was resting at this moment. 

She patted Maya's head and looked back at You Xi Wang. The boy nodded and Yuki stood up to walk to his side. You Xi Wang noticed that when she was walking over she passed over a girl and patted her shoulder. The girl nodded after casting a gaze to You Xi Wang went back to her duty. 

Yuki came over to the boy and sat down. She took off her black wolf mask and asked, "What happened?"

You Xi Wang said, "Can you take off my mask?"

Yuki nodded and gently took off his mask. She asked, "What happened to you?" her eyes were filled with concern. She could sense that the boy was not normal. 

You Xi Wang said, "Neurons in my hands are burned." his words shook the heart of the girl. She opened her eyes wide and was about to say something when the boy said, "Calm down, it is healing as we speak. I will be fine in an hour."

Yuki nodded and then cast her gaze at Maya as she asked, "Maya was hurt?"

You Xi Wang nodded, "That is inevitable. I showed nothing in front of the teacher or she will have me inside the infirmary. Maya also tolerated for a few minutes in front of her. I healed her first. As long as she is fine I can recover." hearing his words, Maya rubbed her head against his chest. She knew very well that the equality spirit bond can be the biggest disadvantage to both of them, but You Xi Wang always prioritized her and she was grateful for this. 

Yuki spoke with a sigh, "If elder sisters knew that you have suffered here. I wonder if they make me lose a layer of skin."

You Xi Wang chuckled, "I would like to see who can make my baby lose a layer of skin with me being there." 

Yuki said, "Also, I have been thinking, are we too fast in getting married?" her voice was doubtful.

The boy replied to her in a sincere voice, "As long as you want to get married, I will be ready. I will also wait for you for as long as you want to."

Yuki smiled and said, "I know, but ever since we ventured out, I realized that my strength is not that good yet. I want to be a war goddess too."

You Xi Wang smiled and said, "You can already be one. You lack to master one more Spirit Weapon. Am I right?"

Yuki was surprised, "How did you know?" only to hear, "I peeked at you when you were cultivating. And also while you take a bath and stuff. On our days off." he was not ashamed even a bit. 

Yuki slapped his shoulder. The boy winced from the pain. Ice-cold beauty was blushing and said, "You pervert."

You Xi Wang smirked, "You love me for being a pervert for you." and raised his eyebrow with a cocky expression. 

Suddenly the two people heard a voice, "I was told that the young god of war was busy and diligent in his duties. Now, however, I might have to re-evaluate you."

You Xi Wang was slow to react due to his injury. Maya stood up in front of you with her fangs bared at two figures who descended from the sky.

Yuki bowed her head as she said, "I have seen the two elders. I will now take my leave." she ran away but not before cursing You Xi Wang with a soul message. 

You Xi Wang stood up with a sunny smile and bowed to the two ladies. "I have seen elder Victoria. Disciple You Xi Wang greets Martial Aunt."
