Batteries

Oliver had always dreamed of becoming an Electrical Engineer. In his world, the sky had been blocked out by smog and the only habitable land was in the far reaches of Canada and Russia. The other animals had long gone extinct and the eating of any type of meat had been outlawed. people panicked once the fossil fuels ran out. Without a source of energy, the people turned on one another. A civil war broke out amongst the surviving population. Some people wanted to return to how life was before technological advancement. Others wanted to implement the battery system. The battery system would rely on the human body as its power source. The people advocating the battery system won and the losers were converted into the energy source. Like this hundreds of years had gone by. The smog that polluted the earth was slowly receding and vegetation was growing back but humankind had decided to sanction off their part of the earth specifically for them. They didn't want to mess with nature again. Electrical engineers were responsible for the production of the capsules that would suck the life force out of the 'Batterie
